- My brother in law raved about this product so I had to get it for myself. I LOVE everything about it! The best part is being able to process right in the cooking pot - soups and sauces are instantly blended. No more having to process in batches in a food processor. This is an awesome kitchen tool and you can't beat the price either!
- Best thing since sliced bread...
- Had this a month and if it holds up over time I'd say it's the best kitchen item I've bought in years. Makes smoothies incredibly easy - frozen strawberries get blended instantly without effort. If the unit kicks out in less than two years I'll be back with a caution, but so far I couldn't be more pleased.
- I love this product. I thought that I was just the worst smoothy maker around, but turns out it was my blender. I got this hand held and I now make the best smoothies! I use it to puree, blend mix, etc. I just love it. I bought two more to give as presents and plan on buying one more for my mom!
- I'm really surprised to see the negative reviews. We use the blender several times a day and the chopper several times a week. We love it. We've had several other immersion blenders and mini choppers and this one out-performs all of them. I have absolutely no complaints about it.
- Wonderful galley gadget for a sailboat
- I purchased the Cuisinart Smart Stick Blender for our sailboat galley. After sailing for 3 1/2 months in the Bahamas this winter without such a tool, I decided I needed one, and easily found the perfect solution at Amazon. It is very versatile and easy to stow in tight quarters.
- This hand blender is excellent to liquefy small amounts of fruit or make sauces or baby food.
- It is durable, easy to use, and does a great job. For me, it is a replacement of one that burned out at an awkward time. This one looks as though it would never burn out. It is easy to clean and disassemble. A longer cord would be nice, but it isn't bad.
- great time saver in the kitchen!
- I love the whisk and chopper attachments. They save me time dragging out my Kitchen Aid mixer or food processor while cooking. Everything is easy to clean. The blender is quite hefty. It's not wimpy, like other, more inexpensive hand blenders are. It's my favorite new addition to my kitchen gadgets.
- Folks - this is a great, versatile tool that handles many smaller jobs. Lumpy gravy? Fix it quickly with the blender. Quickly chop an onion or some herbs? This works great! Want to whip up the hot chocolate? Use the wisk and it froths in seconds! Easy clean up! I love not having to take out my larger food processors - (all Cuisinart, by the way, and still going strong - some after 10 years!) I highly recommend this tool!
- If you dislike the idea of washing blenders, this is the perfect kitchen gadget for daily use. I use it for making smoothies and processing food. It doesn't take up much room and it works positively well. I love how it can be easily cleaned. It's also fast and efficient. The attachments, especially the chopper, are very useful. The whisk feels a little flimsy but it serves me well. It's a bummer that the blender send food bits splattering when the container I try to blend things in isn't tall enough. However, aside from that single shortcoming, I have nothing to complain about. Love it, love it, love it!

- I would like to give it no stars but that's an option on Amazon rating. Bought in May (but only used about 4 times since then as we were away for a long summer). Used to blend tinned tomatoes. Worked fine couple of times then blades in blender, chopper and whisk turned very slowly and seemed to squeal when motor ran. Called up Cuisinart and they sent me a new kit. Same thing happened. So I called again and they sent me chopper lid and whisk attachment (only blender had worked in new kit). Now I've the handstick that works very well (for how long though?), chopper grinder doesn't work at all and neither does whisk. I looked inside the motor shaft and these "stripped teeth" everyone in the one-star category keeps on about are also looking that way in mine (I hadn't looked in the original one I sent back). Unfortunately I hadn't read the bad reviews before I bought it, and it seems that this "teeth stripping" is a continual problem with most of their hand sticks. I've already spent $20 between sending it back the first time and then receiving the new parts....I'd like to ask for a total refund for the now $70+ I've spent on it but I think such a request is futile.
- Broke down after light use
- First, the plastic on the chopper bowl lid broke while I was trying to grate cheese (according to the directions). And then, after I replaced it (it took them 2 tries to ship out the correct part), something in the motor stopped working so that none of the attachments rotate at all (the motor is on though). This was a gift so I don't have a receipt. Cuisinart will not replace the motor under the warranty. Looking for a different brand now. It looks like it'll be sturdy, but it is not!
- I bought two of these from a dept store approx 6 months ago. One for me to replace a Braun that the blender cup housing had cracked (after 4 years and countless smoothies) and one for my mother who listened to me rave about these things for making smoothies much easier than traditional blenders. The motor failed on both of ours within weeks of each other. Thank god I still had the Braun, but only with the stick attachement that works flawlessly still. Im shopping for another one right now, but I had to stop for a second to throw this hunk of trash under the bus where it belongs. Dont do it.
- Haven't even used it yet BUT
- Maybe I'm getting stupid, but I sliced both my thumbs when opening the chopper/grinder assembly.
I read that the blade could be put in upside-down for a blunt edge, so I tried to loosen the blade attachment to try it. It was stuck, and when it suddenly gave way, the blade dug into my left and right thumbs.
Not a great start.
- I've had this blender maybe three months, I've barely used it and the inside plastic teeth are stripped and the chopper wont spin. What a peice of crap.
- broke down after 2 months of use
- I bought this to puree baby food, and probably used it about once a week. It hasn't been even 3 months, and the plastic inside the housing that grips onto the attachments had stripped down so the blender is totally unusable.
The warranty states that I have to send $10 for shipping expenses if I want them to replace the damages parts. I'm thinking it's not even worth doing that.
I would not recommend this product to anyone.
- The first three times I used the chopper to chop garlic, it went well. The fourth time, it wouldn't chop. A rip-off, at least as regards the chopper, and while the blender still works, I have doubts it will work much longer.
I expect never to buy a Cuisinart product again. Kitchenaid for me.
- Broken When I Received It
- Perhaps it was just this unit, but as soon as I turned the blender on for the first time, the blades turned slowly and erratically. Although the motor was running and sounded good, the blade's speed would slow, speed up, and then stop completely. I checked every connection, but nothing worked. I'm cutting my losses and buying a Braun.
- Even though it looks like it's made of stainless steal, the working parts are made of plastic which wears out very quickly. My lasted less than a month. The plastic teeth inside the upper part grinded to flat. Poor quality. Shame on Cuisinart.
- I bought it mostly to puree baby food. The first one I got worked fine for about a month, then the chopper stopped working. I thought it was bad luck and got another one, which never worked. I just took it out of the box and I'm speechless, the chopper simply does not work at all. Awful awful awful product!

- Handy but has some problems
- I have had this Hand blender for 2 months. It replaced my Braun which I used for 15 years. I really like that the immersion blender portion detaches from the motor for easy clean up. I don't like that the immersion blender portion isn't water tight so if you put it in dirty dishwater for cleaning, it will fill up with dirty dishwater. It drains out with some shaking but still...yuck. Also the chopper has not worked well at all. According to customer service, you need to push down really hard on the stick (not so hard that you crack the top) but REALLY hard to get the blade to turn. I tried pushing really hard and could only get the blade to turn a little bit.
