- Best Toaster oven/Rotisserie
- I bake cakes, cookies, pies, roast meats to perfection, and rotisserie chicken to juicy tenderness. I haven't turned my big oven on since I started using Euro-Pro, this does it all, plus toasts.
- This is the best oven for the money it does everything we ask it to. Highly recommended value
- the oven works well, the heat control is up to specs. the rotisserie is a + the extra coking room is right.
- Our full size oven broke and did not want to replace it at this time. This oven is doing a great job! My only complaint is the size, I wish it were larger.
I have broiled many things, baked cookies and cakes, casseroles and more.
- I got this as a gift for my husband. He always wanted a rotisserie as he likes to experiment cooking all types of meat. When it came in we were all amazed at how HUGE it is! I got this maybe 2 years ago and it is still in it's original box as we have no room to set it up, but that was my mistake. All in all, if I had the room, it would definetly be up and we'd be using it for every special occasion roasting a ham or roast.
- Well my wife loves it anyway...
- The convection fan on our first EuroPro started howling after about a year. With an extended warranty we sent it back and got another as my wife just loves the oven. She bakes everything in it and we don't hardly use the big oven anymore. Does rotisserie chicken fine but takes too long to just give me a piece of toast. The controls are not very good and the bell is small and tinny. So I have mixed feelings about the EuroPro.
- While we purchased not this model but the smaller rotisserie oven without convection, we'd like to make a few comments on Euro-Pro quality. First, we were amazed that the accessories were so cheap and appeared to have been recycled from other products. The small white "pizza stone" looks like an unglazed floor tile, and the cookie sheets of paper-thin flexible aluminum look like those folding upright spatter guards. The hingelike edges are ideally supposed to grip the oven rack and convert it into a pan so you can lift the whole thing out, but they hardly work. The racks, though sturdy stainless steel, are our main criticism. You can't slide them out very far without their tipping, and the adjustable height could have better spacing. To make matters worse, in lieu of one reversible broiler rack, both are completely straight, so you can't turn one upside down to get it closer to the bottom, or vice versa. To remove hot food safely, you must wait for the elements to cool down, pull rack out no more than 1 1/2 inches, use a fork or other utensil to side pan out an inch or two, and lift pan out with a potholder or slide it onto a plate; we've had oven mitts catch on fire cuz they got too close to the hot elements. This aside, we were pleased with the oven's generous size and functions. We've had it two years and it's still going strong. It bakes like a dream, once you figure out the European temperature settings, which are 18 degrees apart instead of 25 and aren't marked at US intervals. To preheat faster, set on "Toast," then switch to "Bake" when proper temperature is reached. Toasting is great, as long as you don't overcrowd both racks and block the heat. However, the time-bake function broke down after 6 months and no longer shuts the oven off reliably, especially at higher temperatures, a real safety hazard if left unattended. (The spring mechanism gets overheated, we imagine.) Preprepared frozen dinners are still too close to the bottom heating element and must be transferred to a heat-proof pan to bake safely. The on-light glows a very dim amber like a road reflector and is hardly visible under normal lighting conditions. The timer bell is the same, hardly audible, like a toy cash register's. The rotisserie is too light duty except for small items like shish kabob. When it comes to broiling, we really miss our old Toast-R-Oven (now made by Black and Decker, we heard), which had a much better top heating design. Euro-Pro's elements are too far apart.
- A lot for the money....but
- I was conisdering another, more well known brand, that cost twice the price, and was thrilled when I saw this oven with all the same features for much less. Well, I have since returned TWO of these units as defective. The convection fans on both made noises that range from a quiet hum to a chainsaw like buzz. The toaster is useless. It takes 15 minutes to toast a slice of bread and only toasts one side. The reason is simple. It's too big, with the heating elements too far apart, to toast effectively. Now that that's out of the way. Here are the positives. It looks very nice with it's stainless steel body. The crumb/drip tray is a breeze to clean, since it just slides out of the bottom of the oven with ease. The rotisserie worked VERY well. I made some great kabobs with it. The convection function seemed to make baking a bit faster. All in all...this unit may be trying to do too many things, and doesn't do a very good job at any...except for the rotisserie.

- Euro Pro Refuses to Stand Behind their Products
- Euro Pro TO 285 X/L Toaster Oven with Rotisserie
Euro Pro told me to send this product back and they would replace it because it never worked properly. Some Functions like the Toast setting and the Rotisserie Never worked at all! I sent it back at my expense. Now, they are claiming they never received it, and refuse to send me a new one or refund my money! This is THEFT!!!! Let the buyer beware!
- Today I brought back from my office my $20 Black & Decker Toaster Oven. I am having company and would like to toast 4 slices of toast and be able to eat them. I purchased the Euro-pro 6 months ago, and it is a piece of junk....very poor quality as described in the previous reviews. I retired my old Black & Decker to my office after I bought the Euro Pro. Toast in the Euro Pro takes forever, and because of the long time, it is like a rock! Steaks for two on broil...forget it.....45 minutes for rare. Refrigerator biscuits....30 minutes. My final, end of the line with this thing was heating taco shells last night. We waited, and waited and waited. The temp was at 450, as high as you can go, and we waited. There is nothing that I have cooked in this that was fast or good. If you are thinking of buying this, don't! Go buy a cheap little toaster oven and use that, it will work a lot better and save you a whole lot of money, time and grief.
- I'm in my fifties, I've been around. I'd give a thousand dollars,...just to see a Euro-Pro Vice-President reach in to my $149.00 oven and try to salvage the rotisserie meal ...while the oven is a burning 375 degree branding iron, and the meat has collapsed into the fat drippings, as the wheel mechanism, and it's quick connect pin, (ha ... ha...Ha) entangles itself into the sardine can like, poorly designed, and constructed makeshift track, ...and to behold with my nose, the smell of the searing flesh from the back side of his hand, all the while as he pushes, prys, and pulls, with every strength, and wit that he can muster at the futility of his craft, ... only to ask him, "If he would like the use of the 16" needle nose pliers that's on my work bench, ... or would he feel more comfortable with me calling the local fire department, and my asking if we might borrow the "Jaws of Life" for a few minutes.
Anyway, ... If your thinking of purchasing this machine, I guess I would suggest that you'd be better off purchasing a 1970's fiat ,and modifying the drive shaft to accept chickens, or whatever else you'd like to see go round-n-round.
In the meantime, I'm busy modifying my oven for this weekend's skeet shooting launch.
- I recently remodeled my kitchen and bought the Euro Pro XL Toaster oven. The Rotisserie is horrible. It stopped half way through cooking and I could never get it to start again. It is a terrible assembly piece and I poked a whole in my hand trying to put it together! Sent it back because customer service said it sounded like the motor was defective and it would take 6 weeks to repair it or replace it. A few days after I returned it I was excited to see that they sent me what I thought was a new oven. They sent me a banged up, used Bravetti in replace of my brand new oven!! It has obvioulsy been used quite a bit by the look of it. I am so upset to think that they would actually think that what they sent to me is accceptable. I will be contacting them again, and requesting a new oven or my money back. I will never buy any Euro-Pro product again.
- We purchased a Ero-pro convection oven 90 days ago and it has quit. Toasting no less! Every process has been an effort. not one positive can be given

- I had a Farberware Convection Oven for many years, which was a fantastic oven. However, it finally died, and it is no longer being made. Loving convection cooking, I started a search for another convection oven. While shopping with my daughter, I came across the XL Toaster oven/rotisserie convection oven. I was thrilled, and purchased it. I have read the manual several times, and connot make head or tail out of it. It gives only one small paragraph on convection cooking, which tells you absolutely nothing. It either burns, or everything comes out half cooked. I have never been so disappointed in a product. I feel that I have wasted my money, and been cheated. Nothing seems to work. I cannot even get the stupid basket open. The rotisserie is a joke. Everything is either too big or too heavy. The racks are either too high or too low. You cannot put a rack over the drip pan, since the slide is taken up by the drip pan. It is a badly engineered product. I would love to get rid of it, and hope that you might have a solution for me.
- If you are buying for the Rotisserie, don't. The ends continue to pop out and thus it quits turning. The food burns on one side and the other side is raw. It is an engineering nightmare. The rotisserie can get stuck in the machine and the food is almost impossible to get out after it is done (on one side). It is a waste of money.
- Customer Service (non-existent)
- Purchased the Bravetti platinum pro XL Toaster oven/Rotisserie by EURO-PRO Corp. Jan. 2003. The very first time I used the rotisserie to cook a 3 lb. chicken the rotisserie wheel failed and upon re-attaching continued to pull apart. The rotisserie wheel assembly was clearly defective. Contact with EURO-PRO proved very difficult. Their customer response voice mail system did not accept calls. Their published web address does not work. After 2 weeks I was able to contact a live person at their published 800#. The customer service rep. took all the relevant info regarding the purchase etc. and assured me EURO-PRO agreed there was a design defect associated with the assembly and would be shipping me a new rotisserie wheel assembly that day. This is now the end of April 2003 and I'm still waiting. I suspect I will not be receiving the assembly and the added feature was the primary reason for the purchase of the Bravetti.
