- I have had this oven and used it for one month. It does everything the manufacturers say it does and I have no complaints. Since having this oven I haven't had to use my large stove oven. It is very user friendly. The rotisserie does pork or turkey roasts with ease and needs limited clean up. Be sure to tie up the meat to be used on the rotisserie and when cooking a whole chicken,it must be balanced on the spit. This product does it all and has plenty of space in it. It is a good value.
- I don't know why we ever waited to get this. It is rather large, but that's what makes it awesome. I've cooked everything in it. I will never buy an already make chicken to eat again. The chicken turned out so moist it was unbelievable. I can cook alot or a little. I use my oven for storage now.

- I've used this product about 8 times since receiving it. I absolutely LOVE this oven. My kitchen doesn't get as hot and everything cooks great. I am so pleased after researching several that I chose this one. I look forward to many more uses as I am discovering how to use it
- I rarely bake in the summer as I don't like to heat up the kitchen with the gas oven. This small oven heats quickly and cools down very quickly so I am baking more. The convection choice makes succulent meats. It takes a bit of getting used to on baking with the convection but you can also just bake traditionally. All in all, I like it very much and would recommend it.
- This oven fits 9x13" pans and two(!) 12-cup muffin tins IF the pans don't have a large rim or handles on either end. Nordic Ware makes a line of pans called their "Natural Commercial Bakeware" with a plain aluminum finish that fit perfectly. I got my pans at Meijer, but Amazon sells lidded versions, and I included the links. I keep this oven on the counter in my garage to use in the summer time so I don't have to heat up the house. It's been great!

- One of the best purchases I've made lately!
- I wanted to buy a toaster oven for two reasons: 1) I didn't feel like heating up the house when it's 100F outside and 2) I really hate my regular oven (always have a problem with getting the things baked evenly as the source of the heat is on the bottom, and you don't really want to broil your cake to get a nice brown crust). So I was looking for something compact, yet large enough to serve most of my baking/roasting needs. I also wanted it to have a convection and rotisserie options. Having researched dozens of toaster ovens, my husband and I chose this one, and I can tell you that we're very happy with our choice. It has all those things I was looking for, and the price is unbeatable (especially with free shipping).
I've had it for about a month, and have used it extensively for all kinds of things: roasted potatoes, two pizzas at once (note: when you bake two pizzas or anything else using 2 racks at a time, it's a good idea to rotate the baking sheets halfway through the cooking time, which is what I did with pizzas and two sheets of roasted potatoes), numerous batches of blueberry muffins (to my surprise, I could fit 16 muffin cups on a baking sheet that came with this oven - a full batch of muffins!), chicken, a chocolate cake...I absolutely love this thing! It's bigger than it looks because it's quite deep, yet it fits nicely on my counter under one of the cabinets. While the exterior does warm up when it's working, I didn't need to move it from underneath the cabinet (although I do take away a basket of tomatoes that normally "lives" near this oven when I use it).I love the convection feature a lot - it saves time and - finally - allows even baking. I haven't used the rotisserie option yet, but am certainly planning to. The only thing I don't use it for is actually toasting of bread - we have a regular wide slot toaster and are happy with the way it works, so no reason to.
I don't think I'll be going back to my regular oven until Thanksgiving - too bad I can't cook a turkey in this one!
- This is an amazing oven, well worth the price. Everything we made so far, from simple French Fries to complete chicken rotisserie style, came out perfect. Things that should be crunchy (like fries or the bottom of a thin crust pizza) will be crunchy, count on it. The oven is large enough to fit a 4 pound chicken and still rotate it and the meat stays a LOT juicier than any rotisserie chicken you buy at your grocery store. Use fresh chicken, it makes a real difference.
The controls are simple, self explanatory and feel robust. The oven heats up very quick. This is essential to me since I often attempt not so trivial dishes that start out with low to mid temperature baking or convection baking and end with a phase of high heat broiling. Since it sits on a counter top and has a relatively large opening it is very easy to clean ... if there ever is something to clean. Most of the time wiping it with a paper towel just does the job as there hardly is anything at all. The only thing I regularly wash is the crumb tray, which is a very nice thing to have.
You need ample space for this oven since the sides and top get pretty hot. You don't want anything sitting closer than 12 inches. Especially not while you run it for two hours at maximum heat to grill that chicken. We don't use our dining area as a formal dining room, but rather as a kitchen extension with plenty of counter and cabinet space. So that isn't a concern for us.
We am very satisfied with this product.

- So Much Oven for So Little Money!
- I almost didn't buy this oven because the price was so low, I figured it had to be problematic. But the other glowing reviews convinced me to try, and was I pleasantly surprised!
We use it out on our screen porch as our "summer oven," and it gets heavy use almost nightly -- chickens, roasts, potatoes, casseroles, you name it. The heating is even and steady, and the results are dependable. I especially like that it doesn't have any computerized elements that can fail...it is simple, based on time-tested analog technology.
Can you believe, we are expanding our summer kitchen...so we just bought a second one of the same model! I'd highly recommend this to anyone who needs a good, dependable, affordable workhorse.
Exterior dimensions are approx. 15 deep X 13 high X 19 wide.
Interior USABLE dimensions (measured from bottom rack to upper heating element) are 12 deep X 12.5 wide X 8.5 high.
Appearance is not flashy, in fact it looks cheap: black plastic and stamped metal. (At that price, who cares?)
Cleaning is easy with the pull-out crumb tray.
- My husband bought me this just a few days ago. I had been wanting one for some time, after a bad experience with a different brand. I thought I would give this one a chance, since it had the size I was looking for. Most of the available toaster ovens are considerably smaller, so I held out for this one. Hamilton Beach is a name I have trusted for years, and it is because they are good quality products for a good price. I really love this little oven. For two people it is perfect, and it would be perfect even for larger families. When the kids come home for the holidays, I will use my double oven range, and probably use this one too. It is a godsend during the hot summer months. Wouldn't we all bake more if we could do it without turning the house into the waiting room for the sun?! This is also a great size for my tiny kitchen - I stack it on top of the microwave which of course, I don't use at the same time. I am currently baking some blueberry muffins which smell wonderful, and best of all there is not a lot of heat blasting around the kitchen and dining room. This is also a great price, since the stores that stocked it charged more. This is probably one of the best investments my husband ever made, because he will get more homemade goodies and we won't suffer because of it. If you are interested in baking small batches of things, I highly recommend "Small-Batch Baking" by Debbie Maugans Nakos. There are outstanding recipes for tiny cakes, and small batches of cookies and brownies. If I were giving a gift to anyone who loves to bake, I would give them this oven and the book to go with it. My muffins just came out of the oven, and are nicely browned. Fantastic job! The only problem I had was in getting the muffin pan out, because with hot pads, you canonly pull it so far before then it slides back in! I would recommend using something to move the pan far enough out that you can remove it without burning yourself. I hooked it on one side with the rotisserie lift because it was handy. That worked fine, but I think next time I'll use a fork or a skewer. Alternately you could place the other pan on the little baking trays that come with the oven.
- MY OVEN DIED AND I COULD NOT AFFORD A NEW STOVE AT THE MOMENT SO I PURCHASED THIS ONE AND IT IS GREAT. I LOVE THE SIZE OF THE OVEN AND ITS SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND TO USE. I LOVED HOW IT COOKS JUST LIKE MY REGULAR OVEN AND OR CONVECTION OVEN. GREAT PRODUCT

- 30 minutes to broil a steak
- I bought this oven because I thought it would save energy instead of heating up the large oven. This Hamilton Beach oven got so hot that I was afraid that it was a fire hazard. The top and sides and back get dangerously hot. The door does not fit tightly, so lots of hot air comes out there also. I baked potatoes on the convection mode at 400 degrees, and it still took an hour. Then I put a steak in to broil. on the top rack, and it took 30 minutes. Even then the exterior of the meat did not look brown. The problem is that there are only two elements on the top of this fairly large oven, and it is just not enough to broil properly. So, I heated up the kitchen on a hot day making the AC run harder, the potatoes cooked for as long as usual, and the steaks took twice the normal time. I don't think this oven was satisfactory in any way, and I am returning it tomorrow.
- I bought this 8 months ago and used it nearly every day. I was put off at first by it's rather flimsy construction and now it has simply stopped working altogether. I would hope that for the money I paid it would last a bit longer than 8 months. Be careful before you buy.
- When I received this oven, it had several dents near the upper portion of the top controller. It also had a dent on the top left corner. This item could not have been new because the box was in good shape and the skeleton foams inside the box were not broken. Not any fault to Amazon, but to whomever they received it from.

- Product is excellent. It cooks well, is sturdy, easy to use. I have only had it a short time, so I can't speak to the reliability, but so far I would have to rate it as excellent.
- A lot for the money - well worth it
- We bought this primarily for my wife's daycare, so she could cook up fish-sticks and such without heating up the entire house in the summer. This is a darn good oven, bigger than any counter-top oven I've seen. First use was to rottiserie a whole chicken, which turned out wonderful. It works great on pizza's and tater-tots too. My only complaint is that the rotisserie forks are very small, was hard to keep the meat from flopping around. A bonus is that it came with two non-stick pans, they don't tell you that, they should. I've read other reviews that complained about the sides getting hot, well all toaster ovens do that, this is no worse than any other I've used. All in all, a great product and I highly recommend it.
- My old toaster/oven/rotisserie finally broke down and wanted to replace it w/another identical product--I love the rotisserie. This product does all jobs wonderfully. It is bigger than my old one, but I don't mind it. I can see into it a lot easier and can use some of my existing baking pans. Other reviews mention that it gets very warm and it does, but it also cools down quickly. I have it positioned on my counter in the corner and the heat does not seem to affect the cabinet above. The convection option took me a couple tries, but it did shorten baking time. In fact I use this setting for toast. I haven't tried pizza yet, but I like the idea that it will accomodate it. Overall, I am glad I purchased this product. I use it on a daily basis.
- I really like this little oven. Does a great job on both baking and convection. The broiler function is more than adequate. However, I have found that on convection cycle, the oven runs about 50 degrees hot. Since it is consistently 50 degrees hot, I have adjusted my recipes accordingly. I would purchase again.
- A toaster oven on steroids!
- Here are my opinions based on 3 weeks usage. First, this oven occupies a lot of space. Dimensions are 18"w X 13-1/2" h X 13-1/2"d. Remember, if it is to be used under a cabinet to allow 6" for heat to escape. This unit gets quite hot and radiates heat in all directions. It needs plenty of space all around. Definitely, nothing should be placed on the top. It does heat up the kitchen when used for more than 15 minutes. Performance-wise, this unit is quite good. Interior space is very large and the convection feature makes excellent use of it by circulating the heat evenly throughout the interior volume. It will accommodate an 8 pound chicken. The unit is equipped with a rotisserie, but I haven't used it yet. I bought a toaster oven cookbook and I cook things with this unit which I have never attempted before in a toaster oven. It deserves high marks across the board, but there are reservations concerning toast. Using convection, it toasts bread more uniformly than any other toaster oven I have used. However, the controls have no special provisions for toast and the timer cannot be set precisely enough. So, if you are particular about the shade of your toast, you need to keep your eye on it and stop it manually.
- Hamilton Beach 31199 Oven
- I love this oven. I use it for everything, heating up, rotisserie, baking and broiling and all of my food turns out incredible. I wanted to stop using the microwave for heating up and also the oven and broiler of my stove and this oven does it all for me, I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
- I received the oven and plugged it in right out of the box. I must say it is excellent. It is very spacious and the timer can be set for two hours. Everything I bake comes out perfectly. I have baked over 50 mini chocolate chip muffins. This only takes 12 minutes with this oven. Also, I have baked over 50 fresh bagels from scratch each batch taking approximately 25 minutes to bake. Additionally, I reheat waffles for breakfast everyday in this oven. The waffles from the freezer to the oven to my plate takes approximately 3 minutes. At this price, you are not going to find a better deal for this size oven.
- Heat escapes because of the warped door. Plus both top and bottom units get hot on all settings. The outside chrome looks cheap and is dented by the red power light above the control knobs. Yet, it does an okay job if you don't want to use your big oven.
- I have had this oven and used it for one month. It does everything the manufacturers say it does and I have no complaints. Since having this oven I haven't had to use my large stove oven.
