- Works well, value for the price
- I got this for my lodging business and the steamer was working hard 5 minutes after it was delivered. I have since steamed many items and found it works great for the price. I really like how quick it is ready to steam.
- So far it's good. Bought for my wife. She has used it several times and think its fine. She may still have to iron some pants, but it works on everything else she has used it on. Right now, we are very satisfied.
- The Home Touch steamer works far better than expected.
It heats up quickly, and is great for touch ups and to remove wrinkles and creases.
I have used it on clothing, drapes, and bedding and am completely satisfied, especially given the low price.
Other reviews had mentioned water "spitting" and that clothing hung on the garment hook cause the unit to tip. This has not occured in my use of the product.
- This is a gem! I save so much time and hassle that would have
been spent ironing! I Love it! Wish I had bought one years ago!
It really is the best $50 I've ever spent~!
- I have had clothes hanging in my closet that I haven't worn in ages because I just won't ever get around to ironing them. Now that I can just run the steamer over them, my wardrobe is resurrected. I'm not suggesting they come out crisp and pressed as if ironed, but all I want is for them to be not wrinkled and presentable. I am very pleased with the steamer for that job. The steam starts in a few seconds. It is very easy to use even if it takes a little getting used to; after a little practice, I've gotten the hang of it and can get my clothes ready to wear in just a minute or two as I pull them out of the dryer. The main deficiency, as I've seen mentioned in other reviews, is the fact that the hanging pole is nearly worthless for the steaming process -- too flimsy, to wobbly, too short... I just use it to hold the wand and hang the clothes over a door or even just hold them up so it really isn't a problem (as you can see, I didn't even dock for it in my rating). As far as dying and not coming back on; I did discover that if it runs out of water, you do have to press the reset button BEFORE you turn it back on and then it worked just fine again -- but before I discovered the process I was groaning a bit thinking it really had died. All in all, I am very happy with my steamer and the ability to painlessly get my clothes ready to wear so easily.
- Not steamed over the price
- We've had this steamer for a few months now. I was impressed with its quality. Easy to use, sturdy construction, good functional layout, and decent amount of steam and pressure. Wife loves how it works on drapes to clothes. Don't let the rather low price mislead you.
- Home Touch PS-200 Garment Steamer
- Seems to work very well. It's not going to give the crisp look of an iron, but it certainly takes the wrinkles out and fast. There is plenty of hot steam to take out the most set in wrinkles. If you want a crisp look, for example, a dress shirt, you will still need an iron for the coller, cuffs and yoke. For all else, the steamer is the way to go. This particular product seem to be of good quality. So far, I am more than pleased. Would definatly recomend.
- Can't imagine commercial steamers are any better
- For this price I was shocked to find that it has to work similarly to the $300+ models. It does get bubbling in the hose if it's not stretched out completely but that's understandable. Heats up fast, easy to use. Great product and solid value.
- Steamer removes wrinkles like magic!!
- This steamer works great. It quickly warms up and is ready to go. It easily removes wrinkles in seconds. Even those tough wrinkle from clothes sitting in a pile for days. I simply hang my shirt on the clothes pole that is provided, steam out the wrinkles and I'm ready to go. Even my husband used it!! It's simple, quick and a great value. I highly recommend it to anyone that is tired of dragging out the ironing board.
- This product works great. It is easy to assemble and heats VERY quickly. The only issue is water leakage if you don't follow instructions and hold the hand steamer above the base unit. It also requires a fairly large storage area due to its size.
I found it to be very useful for steaming draperies.

- spits out hot water - then dies Buy a real steamer if you need one
- It worked for 5 uses, spitting out more hot water than steam. It drips water out the bottom and ruined the floor. My wife used to own a clothing store and had a Jiffy for 10 years, now it just needs a new heating element. I thought this would hold her over for personal use. What a waste of $60! If you really need a steamer, spend the $270 and the pro-line. It works for years, doesn't tip over or leak water out the bottom, like the Home Touch, and can be repaired instead of ending up in a landfill.
- Actually, I returned it because I didn't like it and I have not received credit from you or any kind of communication. It is too bulky and too difficult to more around the house. CAn you please send me credit back for this?
- I was never so disappointed in anything I've purchased. This steamer didn't even work 15 minutes until it automatically shut itself off and never gave out enough steam to make any difference. I am sending it back.
- Worked for about 5 minutes, then no steam. Turned it off and on several times, refilled the water tank and still nothing. It burped out some hot water instead of steam once or twice. Not happy...
- I got this as a Christmas present and was excited to use it. I set it up, plugged it in, after thirty seconds it was getting hot and I saw a tiny bit of steam! Then it died. I waited 3 minutes hoping it would start working again and it didn't. Waited an hour to see if it needed to fully cool down and then tried it again and it was still dead. I will be returning it for a refund.
- was able to finish two silk blouses
- I bought this exact garment steamer at Macy's. I actually got it at a better price and don't have to pay shipping. I was so excited to use it. Unfortunately, after steaming two silk blouses and halfway finishing my jeans, it run out of steam. I refilled the water, but it didnt produce anymore steam. I pressed the reset button nothing happened. I replace the water again, didnt help. I turned it off, waited... and on again thinking it needs to recollect itself and will eventually produce steam, poor thing just died. I really want to have a garment steamer in my home so i will search for a better one.
- This steamer performed poorly. It would not remove wrinkles from a new jacket, that arrived by mail. Once I turned it off it would not steam again, even when I pushed the reset button and the tank had adequate water. I returned it for credit, not wanting another one.
- Nothing perfect about this unit
- Dead on arrival. Worked for about 1 minute, then stopped. No amount of resetting or cleaning brought it back to life.
- This steamer seemed to work well but had to be reset constantly as it would turn itself off. In two weeks the reset button stopped working and so did the unit. It will cost me almost as much as the steamer did to send it back to Michigan for repair and I will be without it for weeks! I had to buy another one in the meantime. I can't recommend this product.

- Very Good for Price, but Not Perfect
- I actually bought this at Macy's. When on sale there, it's the same price. The reviews for this and all steamers were so erratic that I wanted the convenience of returning it to a store if it underperformed.
That won't be necessary. I'm very pleased with the job it does, especially for this price (I paid $49 at the time). It generally gets tough wrinkles out of all types of fabrics with a lot less effort than ironing. It doesn't press clothes and you don't get that crisp look you would get with an iron, but it does a great job of smoothing out the wrinkles. Filling the unit seems easy enough and it is ready to use in less than a minute.
Overall, I would still buy this steamer at this price, but here are its probelms that I struggle with a little:
- It's hard to get the clothes at the right height to work on them. With the pole all the way up, I still find myself stooping over too much to deal with the lower portions of my shirts. If I put my shirts on a hanger that I place over the door or on a shower curtain rod, than they're too high for the hose to reach the top portions.
- You really need to empty the machine after every use. Otherwise, you get the issues that others have already described. Filling it is easy enough. Draining it isn't that hard and still a lot simpler than dealing with an iron and board, but I wish I could just leave it filled. It would be nice to have it always ready to go. I suspect this is an issue with all steamers.
- Another item under the heading of "it probably happens with all steamers", it draws so much power that the lights in the room dim making it hard to see what you're doing.
- I wish the unit was more stable. When working on a shirt hanging from the top of its tall pole, it's easy for the unit to either move with you or even tip a little. I can't imagine it falling over or anything, but it makes working with your clothes a little harder than it could be.
I took more time with the negatives than the positives so you know what problems to consider. As I said, though, all things considered, an excellent steamer for the money and I would purchase it again.
- I've had this steamer for one year. It works fine and the price is okay for the quality. I would steam a lot more, more frequently if it were easier to use. If you plan to steam weekly, spend more money. (My husbands shirts referred to are not oxfords, but rather light woven cotton short sleeved button downs some plaids, some dobby.)
1) It's too short. I'm 5'8" and the top of the extending bar is at my eye level. The tops of clothes hangers are a few inches below that and the shoulders of the shirts are even further down. The hems of my husbands shirts are below my knees. This makes it difficult to do the job. Not only am I bending over and getting steam in my face and burning my hand but also the steam condenses in side the tube (the popping sound) making the steam less powerful.
2) It's too light weight. Better de-wrinkling of clothing takes a bit of tension as you steam. Some fabrics need quite a bit of tension, like my husbands shirts, while other really should not be pulled at all, like my loose weave linen pants. This machine is very light, it will tip over before it rolls toward you. It's impossible to get good tension on my husbands shirts.
At this point I don't regret spending the money because it's so cheap compared to others and I haven't had time or been organized enough to focus on my wardrobe the way I would like. So the fifty or so garments I've steam have been worth the one dollar per garment I spent on the machine.

- I had read the reviews before buying so I wasn't surprised by it. The steamer works ok but is definitely not a replacement for ironing. I don't think it will replace dry cleaning either as it failed to remove odor - as a matter of fact because of the steam, the odor became more pronounced. But the price wasn't bad and my expectations were low.
- Not a profesional steamer
- I like it. It is simple to use but:
1. For some reason it will reset itself several times
2. it is not very stable when hangin clothes on its own pole
3. The steam is not very strong, so it takes a while to work on a shirt
- The Home Touch steamer works far better than expected.
It heats up quickly, and is great for touch ups and to remove wrinkles and creases.
I have used it on clothing, drapes, and bedding and am completely satisfied, especially given the low price.
