- Kitchen Aid KFPM 770 NKO Food Processor
- A good product at a good price. Like so many products, manufacturers load
them up with safety switches that are made to keep people from injuring themsesves, that probably shouldn't be operating any kind of equipment, under any circumstances. Prevents lawsuits by these people, so I guess they serve their purpose.
I thought I followed the directions for assembly to the letter, but I ended up having to call customer service, and found out one little thing I hadn't done right. I have to say, if all employees were like the one I talked to, it would sure make people's lives simpler. He even registered it for me.
- KitchenAid KFPM770 Food Processor
- Fantastic item that makes cooking in the kitchen even more fun! A real work horse you can do so many things from making your pie dough, shredding cheese, chopping vegetables, even juicing oranges and grapefruits for that special cocktail.
- Another great KitchenAid product
- The title says it all. I have been a KitchenAid fan for a number of years. My industrial mixer is still going strong and I am sure that this food processor will deliver the same. The first thing that impressed me about this processor is it weight (it doesn't move around, even while kneading dough) and it is relatively quiet, considering the power of the motor. The three stacking bowls are handy and the citrus press makes a quick job of fresh OJ. All in all, this is a fine machine.
- Exceptional looks and operates great!
- There are two reasons to buy a KichenAid. They last a long time and they add a touch of quality to the kitchen. With the second in mind, I bought this brushed nickel version since my kitchen faucets and draw handles are brushed nickel. This piece fit right in and looks great on the counter. Nothing you need to store away, this adds to the decor (along with teh KitchenAid brushed nickel blender and the Kitchen Aid brushed nickel mixer).
But, it also works very well. I did not buy these just to look good. I wanted good quality, long-lasting items and this appears to be it. I love using the food processor. It makes the work a bit easier and the wide-mouth gives you plenty of choices. The capacity is amazing at 12-cups and the washable parts easily fit in the dishwasher. It is sturdy (slightly heavy) and does everything I ask. They should list the attachments in the features as I bought a separate juicer attachment, which did not fit, and I found a similiar attachment in the box. So, don't but any attachments until you have seen what you get.
- This is a TOP-OF-THE-LINE product.... beautiful to look at, unlike so many other processors.... ease of use and cleaning is unbelievable and it slices, grates, chops, and dices in a matter of split-seconds. It is remarkable quiet for a food processor, very sturdy, and easy to use. I whole-heartedly and readily recommend this to anyone who loves to cook..... it makes life so much easier.
- Very impressed w/KitchenAid Processor!
- KitchenAid KFPM770 Food Processor, Brushed Nickel
I had an older food processor that wasn't very impressive. After purchasing a KitchenAid Mixer and being greatly pleased with my professional machine, I decided to do some research on this Food Processor. I was very pleased with the purchase and have been happy with the performance! I don't find it hard to clean because it disassembles and goes in the dishwasher. Also, having the 3 work bowls makes jobs and clean up much easier. I've used mine to slice cucumbers and squash, grate carrots and cheese, and to chop lots of items. I just used it on my eggs for dressed eggs. It processed the hard boiled yokes really smooth and very fast so that I could put the dish together much easier. I had to contact Kitchenaid about an issue and they have GREAT customer service! I just have to give this machine a big thumbs up all the way around!
- Powerful, versatile, and beautiful machine
- After doing my research by looking at Consumer Reports, deciding what features were most important to me, and looking at different models in the store, I finally decided on this machine. I am happy to say that I am THRILLED with this food processor. It is powerful, stable, quiet (for a food processor), and easy to use. It also comes with a special case for all of the attachments. This processor is rather large and I would recommend keeping it on your counter because it would be too cumbersome to pull out of a cabinet every time one wanted to use it. It fits comfortably underneath my kitchen cabinets but measure just in case. My only complaint is that it can be a bit difficult to clean but I imagine that is the case with most food processors. Other than that, I am enjoying this machine and have had no trouble making pizza dough and other goodies.
- Outstanding unit. A lot more bang for the buck than I thought I would get.
- I've had this about 2 months now and love it. It is easy to use, very productive, looks sharp, and easy to clean! Definately recommend this to anyone with a nice kitchen. This is a really professional grade processor so make sure you have counterspace in your kitchen!
- It is a very sturdy, well built machine with plenty of power. The large mouth is invaluable.

- I got this for Christmas and was extremely thrilled until last night when the disk stem got stuck in the machine and it cannot be removed. I called for warranty service and was told that these products are custom made and I must therefore wait 4-6 weeks to receive my replacement product. Yeah, I'm not too thrilled about having a broken product that is utterly usless to me and cost over $250 and it will now be sitting on my countertop (or my garage collecting dust) for 4-6 weeks.
They won't even send me an interim product in another color for me to have a food processor to use until they can manufacture my new machine. And taking it in to a service repair shop isn't an option because the machine still gets sent to Kitchenaid for repair and it's still 4-6 weeks to wait on the replacement product.
If I had known this, I probably would not have bought this machine.
- The bowl leaks on mine when I process soups or liquidy mixtures. I'm going back to my Cuisinart and returning this item. Also, the motor doesn't seem as powerful and the top tube is akward for loading.
- Sturdy but poorly designed, difficult to clean
- I've been using this food processor for a few months now and have noticed several things about it. First being that it's really sturdy, all the pieces and bowls seem like they'll last forever.
However, all the blades and bowls are impossible to get clean. There are so many notches, rims, and little crevices that are impossible to get a sponge into. It's probably OK if you intend to put all the pieces into a dishwasher, but if that's not an option for you, then I'd recommend another food processor.
The other thing that's annoying is the electrical cord is really short.
All of these flaws are things that could have been avoided with a bit of foresight by the design team.

- Kitchen Aid Food Processor
- I bought this KitchenAid KFPM770 Food Processor, Brushed Nickel for my wife thinking that it would do well on making her protein shakes, while being quiet in the process. Her blender puts out about 100 decibles, irritating to me, not so much to her. Well this machine is really quiet, for sure. We experimented with the different utensils and bowls to try and get the consistency of her protein shakes that she likes and gets from her blender. While adding the ingredients, some of each ingredient scattered to the roof of the bowl, and didn't get mixed in. For some reason all we could obtain was a thick pudding type mixture that wouldn't pour. For me, this was not a wise purchase, it will probably sit on the kitchen shelf, lonely for attention. Now I will research for a quiet blender, and try that route. P.S. I have seen in the past what this machine can do to chop vegetables and such and for that I know it can do a great job, but my wife has a small hand operated chopper she uses for her salad preparation which is lightweight and easy to clean. This machine on the other hand is heavy and uses more components to do the same job, so she'll probably not use it for salads either.

- Great tool with a few niggles
- I've been using this food processor for two and a half months now, and I'm very impressed. Mind you, its my first food processor so I might not know better, but it seems to tackle anything I can throw at it. On dry stuff like vegetables it will chop more than I can hold in my largest saute pan, so thats enough for me. Nuts chop pretty well, but not that great. Really wet things can be a problem because the fill line at which everything will leak out is about half-way up. Thats deceptive, especially for someone who hasn't used it before.
More than once I've asked someone to mix something with it and they tried to fill it all the way up and we had a waterfall of cake batter, salad dressing (really thin stuff too) or whatever.
Since I don't have a real mixer I've had to use this food processor for that duty too, and the mixing blade does a great job. Although I may still get a mixer, its not important. The egg beater attachment also works superbly. People raved for over a week about the lemon meringue pie I made with it.
Besides the above listed problems with the mini bowl doing a so-so job of chopping nuts (and most anything else short of corn flakes) and the deceptive fill-line issue, I'd have one more problem. It didn't work one night and I couldn't figure out why. It seems the bowl has to be in perfect alignment with the top and the base, which is all well and good. But one day I did everything as normal and it just wouldn't turn on. I had to jam a fork into the safety switch on the bowl to finish dinner. I called KitchenAid and they were helpful. They gave a very specific way to put it together and it seems to work again.
But all in all its become an essential tool in my repertoire. I've been able to tackle recipes that I would have otherwise disregarded and completed tasks in a few minutes that would have taken me an hour of manual chopping.
Oh, BTW, this sucker is HEAVY!

- I like the looks of my new processor and the way the extra pieces are contained. I have not used all the features yet, but what I have used so far has been good. I have struggled a bit with figuring out the right blades for what job and which bowl but it will come with practice. It looks very professional in my kitchen!
