- My hand mixer wore out and my stand mixer is about to go too. I was searching for a replacement mixer and saw the ads for the kitchen aid 9 speed professional and decided that was the one I wanted. I read all the reveiws and although some people did not like it, I still felt it would be the one. I sure am happy with my decision. It works great. I love the way it handles, the ease of using it. There is no problem with splattering as it has the 3 slow speeds. A great mixer, well worth the money. I love all my kitchen aid appliances. I found it paid me to shop around on the internet for this model as the price really varied on it.
- Kitchen Aid quality and performance!
- This mixer has worked flawlessly since we got it! We have always had good luck with Kitchen Aid products and this is no exception. It gets a weekly workout as does the big brother mega-watt mixing station. I would recommend this as it has treated us well!!
- I had previously owned and loved a Braun 280 watt hand mixer which died and couldn't be fixed due to its being discontinued. I chose the KPro over the Cuisinart for its high power and reviewers' comments about quietness, and also am betting on its future ability to be serviced. It's just as quiet as the old Braun. Nice and solid standing on end and feels light. Having been used to only three speeds, I was surprised that I actually appreciate having nine speeds--you can really fine tune what you're doing. The all-metal beaters can take repeated dishwasher washings--no plastic to eventually degrade from the heat. The included single whisk (on a lowish speed) did an exceptionally nice job on whipped cream, similar to the fine result obtained by hand whisking.
- Works great with stiff cookie doughs; good customer service from Kitchenaid
- Growing up, my mom & grandmother would have to toss out electric hand mixers because the motors would burn out when mixing a big batch of stiff cookie dough. I purchased this Kitchenaid 9-speed mixer because I didn't want that to happen to me. It's been over a year, and the motor has worked perfectly, even though I make a cake or bake cookies at least once a week (usually twice a week). I'm very happy with it.
I did have one problem within the first couple months of use. You know the standard metal mixer attachments, like the ones shown in the stock photo, that actually get put into the dough? The mixer bit came off from the stem of the mixer attachment while mixing a stiff cookie dough! Hard to explain, but I ended up with a part of the mixer attachment in my dough, and no way of knowing if any little metal bits had gotten into my dough, unseen. Had to throw the cookie dough out, just in case.
I contacted Kitchenaid via email asking for replacement mixer attachments, and they responded within the day. Per their polite request, I emailed them a copy of my Amazon receipt. Within the week Kitchenaid shipped a pair of the mixer attachments to me, no hassle. In case you're wondering, I didn't have to pay *anything* for these replacements, either. I also did not have to send the broken attachment to them, so no return shipping was necessary. I'm quite happy with their response.
- KitchenAid prrofessional mixer
- I bought this as part of a wedding present. I find KitchenAid products as one of the best and I am sure they will enjoy this product.
- Lightweight - yet powerful! Great for those jobs you need a mixer but don't want to bring the stand mixer out! Digital speed control - wonderful!
- I have an enormous KitchenAid stand mixer, which is great for kneading dough, whipping large volumes of egg whites, and other "heavy lifting" type jobs. But, I frequently need something in between a hand whisk and the huge mixer. For smaller quantities, in particular, a hand mixer is a necessity.
I had been using an old Black and Decker model I bought out of college, but one day one of the beaters stopped turning, and it was time to take another look around. Luckily, I found this one.
It isn't perfect, by any means. As usual, there are design tradeoffs here. It is lightweight, but that means the case is plastic, not stainless, which I would prefer at this price point. It is very slim, but doesn't feel very stable when set down (resting). On the other hand, I expected the digital control to be fidgety and annoying, and it actually works very smoothly and doesn't get in my way or collect food.
The beaters don't hold lots of batter like the traditional type on my old mixer. I like that, and will gladly trade some strength to get it.
I like this, and would buy it again.

- I haven't used the mixer but two times since I purchased it but am completely satisfied. I can't belief how quiet it is compared to my old one. It mixes thoroughly. I'm not used to the digital adjustments but it seems to work well. I would recommend this purchase to anyone looking for a new hand mixer.
- This is really a great mixer!! I do a lot of baking & use a mixer a lot. I literally "wore" my last one out!! I like how this one starts up slow, so it doesn't sling the ingredients all over the place. Also, it has plenty of power to get any job done. I also like the fact that the beaters are so easy to clean. I've never paid this much for a mixer before, but it has been worth every penny! I highly recommend this product!!!!!KitchenAid KHM9PWH 9-Speed Professional Hand Mixer, White
- Great for Both Quality and Cost!
- This is the best hand mixer ever! I am very limited on counter and storage space in my kitchen, and this is perfect little appliance that can be stored just about anywhere. I had been using a Kitchen Aid hand mixer, but it was only a 5-speed. Just didn't seem to have enough power for cookie dough, whipping potatoes, etc. Initially I had considered buying an Artisan Stand Mixer, but with the kind of cooking/baking that I do, a 9-speed hand mixer does the trick! Really didn't need to invest in a stand mixer that would not only take up an acre of my kitchen counter, but would also cost a bundle! And with a $10.00 rebate, you cannot beat this mixer for both cost and quality!

- Poor quality for the Kitchenaid name
- My mom has had two Kitchenaid stand mixers, one that's lasted for about 10 years with no problems (which she handed down to me) and another that she's had for about 5 years with no problems. Since the stand mixers were of such high quality, I thought a hand mixer would be a great purchase. Wrong. Within the first month I had it, the whisk attachment broke. The whisk itself came loose from the metal rod at the bottom while I was making some frosting, and I guess the rod was spinning loose for a while in the little hole where it's attached, because when it finally came apart and I grabbed the two pieces, I got severe burns on two of my fingers.
Kitchenaid never sent a replacement, even though I followed all the procedures and submitted my information twice. Now, two years later, my mixer won't turn on at all. I used this mixer maybe once a month, if that, so I'd say I got around 20 uses out of it - which is complete garbage for a product that retails at $90. I had a cheap $20 Hamilton Beach mixer from Wal-Mart that lasted for 6 years before this. I'm so angry I will never buy another KitchenAid product again. KitchenAid, you need to get your act together.
- I was looking for a higher quality mixer when I bought this. Mixer worked well for little over a year and then stopped completely. The mixer saw light duty during the time it worked mostly for mixing pancake batter. Called kitchen aid service but they do not repair this mixer. Did not think I was buying a disposable mixer for $70 and suggest you look at other products
- I purchased this mixer (very good mixer from my previous experience) along with another item. The other item was delivered in a timely fashion without any problems. I was notified the mixer was "undeliverable" to my home, to which many other Amazon items (including the one ordered at the same time as the mixer) had been delivered in the past without any problems whatsoever. Because of this, the sale was lost, as I ordered the mixer from another source. Very frustrating experience, calls into question Amazon's delivery system.
- beater broker after a couple of uses
- Disappointing that the beaters are so cheaply made. The wisk end is press fit into the shaft. The beater was already loose when I recieved the mixer. I can only hope that this was done intentionally to prevent damage to the mixer.
Fortunately, my workplace has the ability to do stainless steel welding. I'm going to ask for a replacement set and sell them on Ebay. The demand is going to be high for them!
- Somewhat disappointed with quality of this mixer!
- I purchased this mixer from Amazon.com in March of 2008, and after mixing a few batches of cookie dough, the beaters are clicking and wobbly. Although it's nice having the 9 speeds (easy to turn up the speed or turn the mixer off), the beater problem is simply poor quality and I expected better from KitchenAid. I've always loved my KitchenAid 6-qt. mixer, so when I noticed this 9-Speed Hand Mixer, I didn't hesitate to purchase it. I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend it -- for the same money or less, there are much better mixers available (read the excellent reviews for the Oster products).

- sorry but am not crazy about this mixer, throws food more than I think it should, prefer push button controls they are easier to use
