- Give your kitchen a modern appliance with retro styling. Enjoy healthy fruit smoothies in the a.m. and less innocent beverages in the p.m. The continuous speed and pulse along with a stainless steel cutting blade will have your ingredients chopped, blended, and purEed in next to no time.

- Smoothies, Margaritas and more!
- There is no need to buy separate margarita or smoothie machines. Superfine grind and really who cares about the noise which lasts a total of 15 seconds during the blend. I put any unused mix in the freezer and simply blend a second time when I need a refill. You cannot do this with a plastic pitcher which will simply break in time. Purchase the liquid smoothie mixes of your choice, add protein powder and this is an exact match to the ones available at the gym. Less the workout of course.
- Fabulous U.S.A. made blender
- This is a well made blender. We've had this blender for about 8 years or so and has never given us any problems. The blender was first purchased at a Service Merchandise department store back when Service Merchandise was around. I think we paid about $75.00 dollars but it's paid for itself many times over.
On ocassion my sister and I will make smoothies with the Blend-N-Go cups; which is a great accessory to any Osterizer blender. We usually pack the cup with frozen fruit and then add either milk or orange juice. Usually it will take about 10-15 pulses and the smoothie is done. No more Jamba Juice smoothies for our family. We can make them just as fast and a lot cheaper at home!
We've also used the blender to puree soups and grind coffee beans and it does a superb job. It crushes ice completly for a smooth, almost Icee, Slurpee style Margarita. It's really a great machine. I highly recommend this model.
Please note: I have the exact one pictured on here. This particular model has 350 watts of power and not 500 watts like the other very similar ones available. Also, this one is made here in the U.S.A. not made in Mexico like the newer models of the Oster Beehive.
- I use this to make smoothies every morning, works great. The noise isn't as bad as I imagined and it is a great looking solid build blender. Well worth the extra money over the cheap plastic models. Replacement parts are easy to get, it is the best blender I have owned..
- Perfect blender for everyday use!
- This blender is perfect for smoothies (frozen fruit) and protein shakes. It's exactly what I needed and is great for everyday use.
I love it!
- I love the fast and speedy action, you put in anything hit the button and wait for no more than 10 seconds and everything is done. Everytime my wife hits the switch she keeps raving about the speed at which things are done.
- Good retro-styled blender
- I've been quite happy with my new blender. I was a little taken aback with the tower-of-chrome-power appearance when I first opened the package. I bought it sight unseen based on reviews I read on the net.
My most demanding task for the blender is puree-ing beef liver for dog treats that I make for Sophie the dog. My old blender died with a wisp of smoke in this task. The tower-of-chrome-power seems to handle this effortlessly. Its easy to clean. And sits imposingly on top of my refrigerator when not in use.
Good buy!
- This blender is "the bomb"
- Excellent blender - crushes ice and frozen strawberries that I use in my protein shakes with no problem. It's definitely a heavy duty blender and is not quiet by any means. I highly recommend this product.
- We bought a Braun that broke over and over so we replaced it with this Oster which has run like a champ. It's more noisy than the Braun, and not as modern looking, but has given us absolutely no trouble. After having blenders with a plethora of speed settings, it's interesting that we can do everything we need with this simple three position toggle switch - on, off, pulse. Of course that may be more of a comment on what we do with it, but anyway we are very satisfied with it. The only suggestion I would make to the manufacturer is that the plastic top hasn't been improved in probably decades. Eventually they become brittle or warp and have to be replaced. Other manufacturers have solve this. But I'd rather have a blender that works all the time than one that looks nice and is always breaking.
- Powerful & Effective Blender - Well Built!
- We are very satisfied with this blender! Buy this one and do not bother with the rest. It has steel parts and it is simple and easy to use. This is the muscle car of blenders (sure it is loud but what do you expect?). We love it!
- Best Blender on the Market
- We have owned this blender for several years and have given it as a gift several times, as this will be. It does not have a lot of "bells, lights and whistles", but it has an incredible motor that just does not burn out! I use it for smoothies, chopping, blending, etc. and it just keeps going. So easy to clean, too.

- While this blender may look pretty on your counter-top, that's about all it's good for. Nice retro styling from Oster but the product is useless, just like their toaster-oven. I have owned this door stop for over a year. It will only blend something that is completely liquid. Never mind smoothies or sauces, etc. I end up blending it myself with a spoon or just dealing with huge chunks. It is also extremely loud. I am still on the hunt for a good working blender at a reasonable price. This isn't it and I'll never buy another Oster product.
- I just wanted a simple blender but this one is way too loud. It does a good job but would not buy it again.
- Mine's better than yours!
- I just bought the Hamilton Beach 52277 Classic Chrome 12-Speed Blender, Silver (for under six bills with shipping) to replace an aging but still working Osteriser (that had lasted two decades). With 800 watts, my new one is far more powerful. I also like the glass jar (as my Oster had) for being able to blend hot soups. The heavier Hamilton lid is very flexible but somehow survives the dishwasher without any softening (unlike the Oster). Moreover, the gear teeth the jar sits on are straight (rather than angled - what was starting to regularly slip on my old Oster) for a better fit. Even though I rarely use more than fast, slow, and pulse (the Hamilton blender has ten speeds and pulse), I'm glad I picked this one over the Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender, Chrome with its noisier but weaker 500 watts, the need to handwash a loose fitting lid, and just two speeds (on and pulse). Finally, I have also seen greater splashing as others have commented elsewhere from the new "Wave-Action" blade (common to both blenders) when dealing with very thick additives (but, the tighter lid of the Hamilton should mean it's less likely to spill than the Oster). I'm posting this review here as a comparison for those considering this chrome Oster blender.
- I bought this to replace my Braun blender, which died after a mere two years of use. Despite the outstanding reviews the Oster received, I would not recommend it. Yes, it is strong - too strong. If you put more than 1 cup of liquid in there, it goes all over the kitchen - and that is despite forcefully holding down the lid during the blending process. Blending a huge pot of soup one cup at a time is not fun.
On the other hand, it did an outstanding job with pesto - better than the Braun. On pulse, it does a nice job of sucking everything down into the blades. I don't have to constantly stop and stir.
Unfortunately, I make soup far more often than I make pesto. So while I will not be getting rid of this until it dies, I will be cleaning up my kitchen far more than I had anticipated.
- My old blender died and when I mentioned it to a family member, they offered me this one. They were buying a Blendtec and didn't need it anymore. Ever heard the phrase 'you get what you pay for' ? Well, it certainly applies here! I would really be frustrated if I bought this blender. It's cute, no doubt. And if you just want a blender that looks good, with it's retro styling, go for it. But it is noisy and doesn't blend well and can't handle anything very thick. I am getting a Blendtec and SOON!

- good blender but dislike speed and controls
- My previous Oster Beehive blender sadly broke down after almost 10 yrs, so I replaced it with this one which seems to closely resemble it. I have used it so far only to make smoothies and they turn out almost as good as before.
The main thing I dislike about this model is the speed. The low speed is stronger than the low of my old blender. It tends to splatter the liquid which ends up coating up the sides and lid (causing some waste, more cleanup and not as thorough blending of ingredients) and also cause air pockets right above the blades. So I've had to alter my smoothie technique a little:
- Pulse to blend.
- Stop and let the liquid settle back down and the air bubble to
come out. Maybe scrape down the sides.
- Repeat.
Also, the switch must be held down to continuously blend on 'low'. My previous blender had a round dial control with low and high continuous speeds and I miss that simple feature.
The noise is a little louder...about equivalent to the high speed on my previous blender.
- Does no one make a blender that will last over a year anymore? Technically, I should wait a year to write this reveiw. I've had it a few months so far and it's not a bad blender. I've done smoothies, gazpacho and pesto with no issues. I like that the mechanics of the blender are metal and that the pitcher is glass. It's powerful and works well.
- Oster 4093 Beehive Blender
- I have been looking for a new blender for a long time. I have had bad luck with other blenders burning out or not doing the job I expected. I can say without a doubt that this is the best blender I have every owned. Ice is blended in a matter of seconds. When making smoothies I rarely need to stir the ingredients to get the blender to continue doing its job. This blender was recommended to me by a colleague and I highly recommend it you!
- Have used this bender a number of times and it works wonderfully. Lots of power, crushes ice in no time. It is a little loud, but as long as it does it's job that is not a problem for me.
- This is the best Blender we have ever bought, and we've bought a few. The metal base makes all the difference.
No more shopping around for blenders every year. This one is a keeper.
- Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender, Chrome
After 25+ years, it was time to retire the old blender, so I did some Internet sleuthing and decided on the Oster Beehive Classic.
All I can say is wow! This blender rocks. Sure, it doesn't have the bells and whistles of some other brands, but what it doesn't have you don't need. Trust me on this. On and Off are the key items.
The powerful motor blends anything effortlessly. Adult drinks with ice, smoothies, sauces. It's a breeze to operate and easy to clean. The sturdy base is tip proof and the glass workbowl/container has the handle on the end, giving you a perfect pouring spout on the diagonal.
I guarantee you will love the Oster Classic.

- This is a good basic blender. I like the Pulse functionality a lot. It has done a fine job so far. We'll see how long it lasts. It is a good value, though I'm really looking forward to a Vit-a-mix oneday.
- This blender exceeds my expectations. It blends smoothies extremely well, and the blender is easy to clean. I find it a useful tool to have along with my food processor and Vita-Mix.
