- Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon snack, this toaster oven not only toasts, but it also bakes and broils, making it a convenient multi-function family oven. The unit's spacious interior measures approximately 9 inches deep by 11 inches wide, which is large enough to accommodate four slices of toast, a 9-inch cake pan, or two personal pizzas. Two simple-to-use dials offer easy control over the temperature and broil options, the toast and stay-on functions, and the 15-minute timer, which includes an end-of-cycle signal and automatic shut-off to ensure perfect results. For quick and easy cleanup, the unit's crumb tray is removable. The oven comes with a useful broil grid for cooking versatility and a bake pan for cooking or warming biscuits, rolls, sandwiches, or leftovers. The toaster oven measures approximately 18 by 14-1/3 by 9-1/2 inches and carries a two-year limited warranty.

- I am a product demonstrator, and this microwave is sturdy, portable, lightweight and exactly what I needed. Would recommend for small spaces, light heating needs.
- This toaster oven is super fast, efficient, and all functions operate perfectly. Controls are easy to use, instructions are clear, and counter space use is small relative to capacity. Retains internal heat exceptionally well between on/off cycles, and external heat loss is surprisingly low, due to good heat insulating material. Excellent useful capacity relative to overall size. Best toaster oven I've used to date, and that covers many years. This quality for this money is hard to find, so go for it. James Price
- best of all product I used
- I am enjoying my Toaster Oven to the full, I am happy that I did purchase this product !
- Proctor Silex 31115 4-Slice Toaster Oven/Broiler, White
I purchased this on the recommendation of other reviews and I am very satisfied with this toaster oven.
- THIS IS THE ONE.
I have been looking for a good one with right price.
So far I did not see any problem.
- Great toaster oven, very good value for the money. I like that it is a bit deeper than most toaster ovens. I can toast 4 large slices of bread in it at one time.
I have had the toaster oven for a bit over a month now, so, of course, it is still working well. But I have no complaints, really, and would definitely recommend it.
- I am real happy with this oven
- This little toaster oven gets the job done for me. I think the quality is a little bit better, it is a little deeper making it a little bigger and the tempeture is more consistant than the other units in it's price range. I am still looking for the right setting on the tempeture and once I find it I will most likely leave it there. I think it will end up somewhere between 350 and 400. Below that takes to long and above that setting the food tends to get a little over cooked on the outside.
One thing that concerned me was the safety instructions, which I always read. They do not want you to use aluminum foil or any non Proctor Silex cooking trays in this unit. I always use aluminum foil and it does not seem to cause any problem. Perhaps they are just covering for themselves in case something goes wrong because you never know what sort of crazy stuff people are going to put into their ovens. This is the only thing that concerns me. Otherwise the little oven is working out real good. I think it will last us quite a while. Usually we get rid of them because they get to dirty or get a little old looking more then it is a problem that they wear out or break. The last one cost us about $10 and lasted almost a year. This one cost a little more but I am sure it will last longer.
We have had expensive confection ovens that cost well over $100 but I decided to save my money because this one gets the job done and does what we need it to do. Esp with the extra 2 inches of depth this is a nice sized little unit.
- I'm a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews here. This is a great (and roomy) toaster oven, especially for a $25.00 price tag. Makes great toast and is great for warming up leftovers. The timer is easy to understand and use. It's a great value for the money.
- Workable Value With Quirks
- I got this to appease my wife's apparent insatiable desire for toast and "properly heated" pastries and such. :( We're both pleased with it, however, and it IS a value for money.
She wanted me to point out an inconsistency in its design: The upper temperature dial has a "toast" setting which when used with the toasting twist dial below it results in only the top element heating and resultantly, uneven toasting. The fix is simple, though: Just put the top dial on 350°, then twist the toast dial. Voilà!
The twist dial approach to controls means you have to force the dial back to zero if you want to switch off the element early, and this could be trouble down the line as far as wear and tear. Still solid here so far, though.
This last part may be nitpicky and irrelevant to some, but I wish it were dual voltage since I work abroad so often. I know, that would raise the price of a minor appliance, but doesn't that lack of an option speak to the industry's supposition of disposibility? I know, quality is intentionally sacrificed in all these sort of things so that folks will buy new ones every few years...but admittedly neither have I seen any problems pending with this oven so far after a few months of use.
For the price range a very recommended product!
- I found this to be the perfect toaster oven for the small office. I was concerned about getting a toaster oven for the office because of the fire issue but this has a timer which automatically shuts off. It is also a nice size and fits in a tight space.
-
- The back and top got so hot that they could not be touched, which worried me that overheating could occur if someone placed anything on top of the unit (a hot mitt or cookbook) or even pushed it against the wall too tightly. Because of concern for use by children and/or fire hazard, I had to return this item.
- This toaster is the worst I ever have bought.
The performance is terrible. Not worst the money.
It burns everything. Bad design.
- The door has a large gap around it. When you open the door to remove food the handle is flush with the counter and there is no where to grasp it with out getting burned. Very poor design. I will be sending this machine to the dump on the next trip.
- Don't Buy This if You Value Your Hearing
- I returned this after using it one time.
The toaster works only with a very loud ticking timer.
No way to toast without the ticking sound.
So loud that I returned it.
Be forewarned!
- I've had numerous toaster ovens over the years and feel this is very inferior -- poor quality construction, difficult controls with no "toast" lever, not particularly attractive. I will be returning it.
- Toaster oven doesn't toast
- I bought this toaster oven based on a Consumer Reports review which rated Proctor-Silex very well. Now I'm questioning the value of Consumer Reports anything if they think this product has any value at all. Don't waste your money.
Amazon was very good and prompt with my refund.
- Hello,
Both the Proctor Silex 31115 4-Slice Toaster Oven/Broiler and the Proctor Silex 31117 4-Slice Toaster Oven/Broiler make noise when in use.
Both products make audible sounds when in use. It sounds like this; tick, tick, tick, tick, tick...
- Obviously, you can't expect a terrific/high quality product for the price of the PS 31115. It will make toast, though you will have to listen to a rather loud timer clicking until completion. The biggest negative is the poor interior design which grossly limits the available vertical space between the rack and the heating filament, which means that you will be fine with toasting or heating a flat slice of bread and/or other item, however, if it comes to a roll or anything approximating even 3" in height, it will be burned or scorched. There are only two heating filaments (one on top & one on the bottom), so heat distribution is not as even as one would like in a unit of such relatively large depth. It generates tremendous heat which almost instantly radiates to the exterior of the rather thin shell, so care must be taken to not accidentally touch the unit during or right after operation...In sum, if you are looking for an inexpensive appliance to make toast and heat/cook flat items this seems like a good value. If you are looking for an "oven" to cook/warm-up even remotely sizeable objects, get something else.
- Not worth it for your bucks...
- I usually don't write reviews, but I had to for this one. I was really excited about getting this toaster oven regardless of the reviews, good or bad. It was a good deal and I just couldn't resist, now I'm really disappointed. It's a nice toaster oven and it's work, but the only thing I'm unsatified about is the noise. Tick, tick, tick...everytime I turned it on - really annoying.

- A real bargain for the price!
- I bought the Proctor Silex toaster about a month ago and it really works well to toast pizza, bread (very even), as well as for frozen fish nuggets and the like. The toaster has a small size - it does not take too much room in the counter - yet it is deep enough for pizzas to fit in. That's what I wanted it for! In addition the timer is very reliable. And for the prize I paid ($ 32) it works better than expected.
The only draw back is the whole device really gets hot on the outer surfaces, and I have to be carefull not to touch it accidentaly while working in the kitchen.
