- thi is the second of this item i bought . I bought the original 10 years ago. It finally got used too much so i replaced it the new version has teflon coating ont he bars and tray which is so much better,
and the price now is so much lower then originally i Paid $1u89 and now I paid $60 how's that for getting rooked first time over.....
- In 1998 or maybe 99 my husband who loves commercials convinced me, the skeptic, to purchase a Ronco Rotisserie. Now, 10 years later and several moves in which it was dropped and glued together again, it is finally falling apart to an unusuable extent and so I am replacing it with a younger sexier model. It has been my favorite form of food preparation, especially in the summer when I don't want any extra heat produced in the house. The food is wonderfully moist without brining which is especially important in our household now. I can't praise this product enough. And this praise is from a skeptic. Tonight we had Salmon cooked in the basket. Yum. Last night we had a half Turkey breast. More yum. My only complaint is that it doesn't weather continual dropping very well.
- Like chicken used to taste
- I bought this item a few months ago and was so impressed that I bought one recently for my Mother. She's amazed at how easy it is to use and clean. We agree that buying cooked, rotisserized chicken with unknown added chemicals may be unhealthy, but we had no idea that simply cooking a chicken this way with NO added ingredients whatsoever could result in the tastiest chicken we've had in years. It won't take long to make up the cost by never buying those store cooked entities ever again.
- Fast delivery, well packaged. I've used it several times. Love the chicken, makes great burgers and I'm thinking of what else I can put in it.
- This is the niftiest kitchen gadget ever. It's easy to load, unload, and clean. The whole place smells so good when cooking. The instructions are simple enough that my first time using it came out great. Saving some money by buying through Amazon was icing on the cake. Oh, yeah, and they got it to me quickly. I was a little skeptical when I saw the "infomercial" on TV, but after reading some of the reviews I took a chance. It paid off.
- I was hesitant to buy something that screams "I've been watching late night tv and bought this off an infomercial" but I had heard good things about this from friends. I have the compact stainless steel version which doesn't seem to be available on amazon anymore.
Cooks wonderful, juicy chicken in about an hour. Not sure how much power it pulls, but we blew a fuse the first time we used it (and the microwave). Now we are careful as to how many appliances we have on at the same time. Just something to keep in mind when you're using it.
- I received my Ronco in 5 days time that was promised. Am completely satisfied with it. Thank you.
- My father gave this product to my husband. Not because he didn't like, but because he likes sharing. I thought, wow, something else to clutter our kitchen. It can clutter all it wants! I have never eaten a roasted chicken that tastes so good! I love watching it cook. The smell is outstanding! I can stop it and let it brown in one spot. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The cleanup is nothing. No splattering. It's worth buying! Can't wait to try it on chicken wings.
- This makes the juiciest chicken I've ever tasted. Racking the chicken onto the spit is as easy as it looks on TV. The same goes for removing it when done. Clean up is a snap. There's plenty of room for a plump chicken or a couple of Cornish hens. I haven't tried a turkey yet, but I roasted veggies in the spinning basket. Delicious!
I love the pause feature that allows me to stop the spit from turning so that I can add crispiness to any part of the bird. The pan in the bottom collects the juices. I make soup with it later.
It comes with everything too - gloves, video, chicken ties, basket with lid.
This is one of those purchases that makes me want to tell everybody what a great deal I got. I'd give this product ten stars if I could.
- Do you need more elastic loops?
- As with most reviewers here I love my chicken-go-round, so I am really writing just to let people know that if they need more of those lovely elastic loops to secure the bird the magic search words are "roasting ties". At my last check one amazon seller had them, and they can also be found using google. At one point I also tried the reusable silicone ties, but found that the combination of heat and chicken grease made them a poor choice for this purpose.

- Paint flaking and Poor Service
- I purchased this for my dad and after a few uses, the paint on the gear wheels began to flake off onto the food. He called Ronco and they claimed they did not receive his warranty information that he had mailed 3 weeks earlier, and therefore could not help him. I called Customer Service myself and was told the same thing - no warranty information so no help. I was told to call their Corporate Office which I did. The line was busy for days. I emailed Ronco and received an automatic reply that said I would be contacted regarding my email in 24 to 48 hours. I received a reply email ONE MONTH LATER! The problem is still not resolved....
- The Ronco rotisserie (which I purchased eventually from another online store) is a great product which works perfectly. This review is about the Amazon service which was awful.
Instead of the rotisserie I purchased Amazon sent a Sharp microwave. Because Amazon would not accept a UPS return I had to tote this heavy, bulky item to the USPS. Then, when Amazon processed the return it showed $0 credit so I had to make yet another phone call to get the $89 back.
Amazon did give me a $20 store credit to compensate for the aggravation but I would have preferred a smooth transaction. I should say that most of my Amazon purchases have been error-free so hopefully this was a rare misstep.

- This Ronco Rotisserie far exceeded my expectations-- being single, it makes cooking dinners simple and a breeze--plus teflon coated catch tray wipes right off, makes cleaning so easy...
- Showtime Compact Rotisserie
- I heard two girls at work discussing this rotisserie so I ordered it, and am so glad I did. I have cooked a whole chicken, pork chops, kabobs, hamburgers, pork roast and beef roast so far and have loved every one of them! The biggest shock was the beef round roast because they are lean and tend to be tough and I did not have high expectations of the outcome. I was wrong! It was the best round roast I have ever had in my life. Clean up is also a breeze. I highly recommend this product.

- Yes, the quality of this product did not live up to my expectations. However, I will admit that it does the job. I have cooked a whole chicken, cornish hens, and chicken wings in this machine. All have come out wonderful, in particular the chicken wings. In fact, I would say that I created the best tasting wings ever using this machine.
Clean up was relatively easy when cooking cornish hens and a whole chicken, but more difficult with wings (because they are the fattiest part of the chicken, they tend to splatter). Another drawback would be the elastic food ties, which effect the taste of the chicken. Washing the ties with cold water seems to help a bit. My last disappointment with this machine is that no flavor injector was included. This is a pretty bare bones model, but thankfully I got it at a low price.
It's worth paying a little more for a higher quality machine.

- Makes a pretty good chicken
- You can cook a pretty good chicken in this rotisserie that tastes better than the ones you can buy precooked in your local deli. It is effortless to prepare the chicken and easy to clean the oven. I wait about 1/2 hour after the chicken is done to allow the oven and chicken to cool before removing. This works really well. The size of this oven is perfect for a one chicken meal that feeds a family of 4 or 5 people easily. I have a huge kitchen and would not want a rotisserie bigger than this "compact" one.
