- Integrated three layer cover includes 100% cotton top and bottom with an inner layer of felt, providing a smooth ironing surface and maximum support. Professional extra large ironing surface allows for convenient ironing of many garment shapes. A narrow tip is convenient for positioning of all garments. Quick clip fastner allows cover to be tightened for secure fit and added velcro strap gives cover extra secure fit for a smooth ironing surface. Non slip-grip feet adds stability and protects your floors. The treated mesh table surface resists rust and provides a sturdy ironing surface. The height adjusts to 39" tall and has a garment rack for hanging finished items. The symmetrical board shape is well suited for either left or right handed users. Heavy duty tubular steel legs are extra strong and widely spaced for stability.

- After reading the reviews and coming to terms with the inflated price for an ironing board, I have to say I am very happy I took the plunge.
I've had problems with other cheap ironing boards collapsing or not staying up (we've actually welded one back into place!), leaving 'diamond' marks on items even though I put another towel down for padding, the excessive wobbling, losing the rubber thingy's on the feet so it wont stand correctly and will undoubtedly scratch the floor! I got fed up.
This ironing board makes the chore of ironing a bit less annoying. It is generous in size! I have plenty of room to put shirts, pants, sheets..whatever on the board and not have to make too many additional adjustments in order for the item being ironed to fit. It's very sturdy. No wobbling regardless of whether I set the board up on carpet or tiled floor.
The adjustment mechanism is very easy to push and it allows the board to rise up quite high for taller people and I can also adjust it for a lower setting when I need to sit and iron. (I am a quilter, those who also suffer from this addiction will understand.) :0)
The cover is thick and easily cleaned.
There is lots of room for not only empty hangers but hanging items when done or even stacking folded items on the shelf underneath. The iron holder is large and handy for setting a hot iron on inbetween items.
The board itself is a bit on the heavy side, but I justify that for the high quality of construction.
If you can get over the huge hurdle of paying the price asked of the Rowenta Pro Ironing Board, I highly recommend it as it will probably be the last one you will ever need to purchase!
- This ironing board is great. The metal iron holder at end provides extra length so now I can iron long pants legs without moving them. Also the extra width is wonderful. Again, an entire pants leg can be laid out and ironed without moving it several times. The board is very sturdy and does not wobble, so it is heavier than normal making it a bit harder to open and close.
- Perfect for owners of the Rowenta Pressure Iron & Steamer
- We received a Rowenta Pressure Iron & Steamer as a wedding gift. The iron is great, but with our previous ironing board, we had to place it on the floor. This board is perfect, because the Steamer fits perfectly into the steel tray on the side of the board. I like that the board is so wide, and you can hang clothes from the steel tray as well. There is a rack underneath, which is useful if you fold your clothes after you iron them.
I would say this is a must-have if you own the Rowenta Steamer. If you just have a regular iron, I probably would not deem it necessary to own this (due to the high price).
- I bought this for personal use. It is a commodious tool for a comfortable ironing. Don't think twice about its price because it is certainly worthwhile. Ergonomically designed, looks great, fits clothes properly.
- excellent product. Much better than the cheap ironing boards you get at discount stores.
- I wish that I had purchased this nice ironing board years ago. It is sturdy, doesn't wobble, well made and worth the purchase price. I purchased this ironing board from www.amazon.com and was so pleased with the efficiency and swiftness of the delivery. If you do a lot of ironing, I do recommend this product. It is nice, however, if you have a place where you can leave it up and not have to take it up and down. But a lighter weight ironing board is not going to perform like this one does. The surface is larger than some which makes ironing a garment a little quicker as you can cover a larger area at the time.
- an excellant ironing board .... we never did much ironing .. now its such a breeze! highly recommended!

- My wife asked me to find a replacement for our 20+ year old ironing board. I read reviews and purchased the Rowenta. She's very pleased with it. I made the mistake of purchasing cover separately........the ironing board comes with the nice cover/pad.
- Tired of the cheap unstable iorning boards-well this board is the answer. Only problem is it a hefty and large board to fold away in the closet. Not for the physically weak! I don't really use the iron stand but it has saved the iorn from hitting the floor once already. I do like the shelf underneath to stack my iorned T-Shirts. I like to call this more of a mans board for all those bachelors out there!
- Excellent Quality Ironing Board - Great for Quilters!
- I received my Rowenta Professional ironing board the other day. It is made of excellent quality. I'm a quilter, therefore, I use my ironing baord quite often. My old ironing board was a cheap one from a "big box" store. It was light weight, but functional. I tried replacing it with an updated one similar in style (I needed a bigger iron holder for my new iron) It was also lightweight and didn't perform how I wanted, so it was returned. Then, I bought what I believed to be a better board from a different "big box" store, paying twice as much as the first board. I took it home and it wouldn't open up smoothly. Frustrated, I turned to the internet to find a board that was heavier and sturdier that I wouldn't have to worry about having it fall over. I came upon this ironing board and the many reviews on [...].
I'll admit, I was a little nervous about spending this much money on an ironing board...but decided what I had spent in the past wasn't getting me what I wanted. This board is worth its price! This board is indeed heavier than the others I've tried, but it's not unreasonable, and makes the board stable. The iron platform is very nice and has a fold-out bar for hanging clothes on (aside from the ledge around it). Perhaps the best part of this board is the pad Rowenta puts on their ironing boards. It has a nice padding to it and has held up better than the replacement cover I bought for my original board with the same amount of use. I have yet to use the shelf on the bottom, but it doesn't get in the way when I use the board. Also, this board extends to a higher height than other boards I've tried/owned.
A previous review indicated that you had to reach around and pull on both sides of the board to get it to lower, but I did not find that the case with mine. The one I have goes up and down smoothly.
At this point, I would struggle to find a negative. If you do frequent ironing, I would highly recommend spending the money on this board.

- Great at first, up doesn't hold up
- I purchased this ironing board about 1-1/2 years ago. Loved it at first,
very nice, worked well, excellent board. But after a little over a year, it decides it doesn't want to say at the height I want. It starts collapsing down to a lower level, won't stay at a comfortable height. I called the company, it does have a 10 year guarantee. At first they said take it to a repair company, I had already looked for one, doesn't exist.
When I questioned the quarantee, I was put on hold while the rep checked.
When he came back, he told me there was no local place take it (I live
outside Chicago), that it had to be mailed back! I could probably buy a new board for the price of packaging and mail. No solution for this problem in sight.
- Difficult to open and close
- I could not believe how difficult this board was to open, I actually had to pry the lifting latching mechanism out of place to get the board to open and the same maneuver to get it to close. It is clearly a design flaw since the lifting / holding arms cannot move freely because the support channel for the lower tray prevents it from doing so.

- I found this ironing board to be sturdy and strong. It was also comfortable to use.

- The Rowenta IB-6200 Professional Ironing Board is head and shoulders above my old, bendy, rickety cheapo. It's sturdy and seems like it will last. However, before you buy, give serious thought to the dimensions. In theory, I like the idea of a larger board. But the Rowenta takes up more space in my closet (doesn't fit below the shelf) than a standard board. And I iron only size 4-6 women's clothing, so I don't feel that having the extra inches of board on which to iron really matters. It's also pretty heavy, which I can imagine would be a problem for some users.

- Sturdy, but large and heavy
- This is an excellent ironing board for someone who leaves the board up all the time, but for those who would store it between uses, I found it cumbersome. In fact, the height of the folded board (and attached iron stand) was such that the board would not fit in my cleaning closet. I did not measure it, and can only say that the folded height exceeded 64". I also found that the board was somewhat uncomfortably heavy to lift, although this feature contributed to its stability when in use. I ended by trading ironing boards with my daughter, who irons in basement and who gave me a small lightweight board in exchange.
- Great ironing board, but does have a problem
- I love this ironing board, having previously used the old, cheap, tippy ones. It's nice to be able to rest the iron off the ironing surface itself and I love the wider size. I use the clothes rack to put my waste basket on at an angle to make it easier to toss scraps in when I'm cutting and sewing. The only problem I've had is with the quality of construction. The first one I got had some places where the welding on the surface between the top of it and the supports created really bothersome hills and valleys on the ironing surface. They weren't readily apparent until I began to iron. I returned that and got another that I had them open to let me check over carefully before exchanging. There still is a place on the second one where the construction has a oval "divet", but it's not as bad as the rolling hills on the first one. When I got this one, I checked the others at the store and they all had similar, but worse flaws. I mentioned it to the Rowenta folks at the Pywallup Expo and was told just to return it. I could have, but the ones at the store were worse and I have a lot better things to do with my time than continue to return ironing boards. It's unfortunate that Rowenta doesn't do better in their quality control department, since their basic product is so good. Yes, it is heavy, and I also have arthritis, but I've had more than enough of the light ones that turn over at the touch of a finger. It's still worth buying, especially with a store discount coupon, but be sure to have them allow you to open the plastic and feel the entire ironing surface to be sure it's actually flat.
- This ironing board is for a younger person
- This is a high quality ironing board but unless you have sufficient hand strength to adjust the height it is difficult to overcome the strong springs that facilitate the height adjustment. This board also weighs in around 20 pounds which is much too heavy for older people to handle easily. I'm sending it back for a lighter duty ironing board.
