- A professional quality ironing board designed and manufactured to the high quality standards that have made Rowenta the leading name in Garment Care. The IB-6300 Professional Ironing Board features an integrated three layer cover construction which includes a 100% cotton top and bottom with an inner layer of thick felt, providing a smooth ironing surface and maximum support. A treated mesh table surface resists rust and provides a sturdy ironing surface while promoting steam transfer. The extra wide board shape is ideal for all types of garments and the most professional tasks. It has an oversized iron rest with hanging rack, large enough to hold a steam generator, is retractable and safely holds irons on heat resistant silicone surface. Integrated laundry shelf and additional fold out garment hanging rack provides storage for finished garments. Extra think, heavy duty chrome steel legs are extra strong and widely spaced to provide maximum stability and durability. The board's advance feature reduces ironing efforts and enhances results.

- I wish that I would have gotten this long ago. If I could rate this more I would. My friends see this and they want to buy one too. Thankyou Rowenta for making this. The iron board is built so well I wont need to get another! Everyone should have one. They wont be sorry.
- I think this board is great EXCEPT not for the weak person. It takes some strength to put it up and take down. For me, it's worth it. Love the extra width and shelf for storage and place to position the iron on the end.
- It is a little big if you want to put it up to iron 1 thing at a time. But I love it because I iron a number of things at one time.
- The Last Ironing Board You Will Ever Buy
- This is the mother of all ironing boards. It's built like a tank. Very sturdy and should last a long time. Rock solid, won't tip over. Large ironing surface. Plug and extension cord built into the board. Large side tray for Iron or Steam Iron machine. Has a cord minder that keeps the iron cord raised and out of the way of the ironing surface. It is heavy -- I weighed it at 28 lbs, however, there are two built in wheels at the bottom of one of the legs so you don't have to carry it around -- you can just wheel it across the floor sideways and easily. Nicely designed and engineered. I bought it because I was sink and tired of my cheap, lightweight ironing board.
- This product is extremely well made. Heavy gauge steel and welded joints. Very steady - opens very easily and is steady. High quality in every respect. It is heavier than most - that is offset by the smooth opening mechanism. It is clearly your monies worth. All the features work as described. Arrived in very good packaging to provide production during shipment. Just the best!
- Rowenta IB6300 Professional Ironing Board
- I bought this board primarily because my old iron had ceased working and I purchased a Rowenta with the water/steam tank. I needed something that would defintely hold the weight of the unit. I had a Brabantia ironing board for years and found trying to find covers very frustrating as well. This board works very well, nice and heavy duty. Has a tray to the side which holds the heavier iron and water/steam tank unit nicely (which is what is was advertised as being able to do). Worth the money - but I do a lot of ironing and sew as well.
- One cannot imagine spending this much money on an ironing board -- until one uses it. Then, you'll have trouble going back to the flimsy $20 models one finds in most stores. From it's rock solid frame to its larger top to the quality pad and cover to the antenna-like cord holder this product might even make you look forward to coming home and ironing up the pile of shirts that's been sitting in the basket.
- Rowenta Professional Ironing Board IB6300
- This ironing board is well made and sturdy (high quality). I love all of the features and the extra wide width. If you do moderate to a lot of ironing, it is definitely worth the investment.
- This is a heavy, sturdy ironing board. The wider width really helps to speed ironing.
Since I am able to leave it upright I would have liked it to have wheels on the widest end to make it easier to move around. The wheels for when it's folded do not help me.
Being able to hang the clothes on the attached rack is convenient.
I would recommend this for everyone.
- This ironing board is awesome, it is very heavy duty and well made, not inexpensive bujt well worth the money

- Takes two to set up and take down
- Rowenta IB6300 Professional Ironing Board
I bought this board thinking that a premium price would guarantee a premium product, but such was not the case. Usually Rowenta means excellent quality, and this board looks great - the ironing surface is terrific, and it is as solid and heavy as a tank -thirty pounds, but feels like more because of the awkward shape.
The biggest problem is that it has dual release controls to raise and lower it and I found it would only release and move if I held both down simultaneously. This means means both your hands are on the controls and not only are you trying to release and set it, you are supporting its weight with your hands as you do so. Unless you have superb upper body strength you will have a hard time setting it up and taking it down without the assistance of another person unless you are willing to lower it completely to the floor and then pick it up again. The wheels are not a very useful feature either, as they only work when it is standing on end and fully closed.
If you never take your ironing board down this might not be a problem, but if you're like me and you like to take it out, use it and put it away when you're done with it, you could go crazy struggling with this monster.
I called Rowenta's customer service and they swore it should be easy to take up and put down, and that I should return it to Amazon, which I did. Amazon's shipping and return policies have been delightfully easy to use. I wish this ironing board was. I don't recommend it to the average user. In this case, Professional would appear to mean Professional Wrestler.

- This ironing board is awesome, it is very heavy duty and well made, not inexpensive bujt well worth the money
- After having ironed many tablecloth's, napkins and bed linens on a
much smaller and not so sturdy and adjustable ironing board, this
ironing board is just ever so perfect for perfectly ironed linens.
The width and lenght and height adjustments are what makes the difference-
wish I had had this years ago when I had to do it all myself- now I can
train my housekeeper how to do it right- anyone looking for a super sturdy
and great ironing board, get his one! It is heavy but so are others that are
not nearly as well made.
- This ironing board is superior to any I've seen on the retail market. My mother had a good one from back in the 1970's and it is still solid. I have no doubt in my mind that this will last me a life time as well. Thank you amazon.com for having a large selection of quality merchandise to choose from. Ah yes, and the easy online purchase and reliable speedy shipment also deserves praise. Thank you!
- The Rowenta board is easy to use and does a great job! I bought a Rowenta steam generator iron last year but never used it because I didn't have the appropriate board. This board is perfect, granted it is a little cumbersome, but a small price to pay for the size of the board and the quality of the pressed clothes. I have struggled with ironing boards and irons for years, at last the perfect answer. The wheels make the job of setup and takedown much easier, without them I would struggle. At present I am putting a military press on my son's uniforms, I wouldn't be able to do it without this iron and board. My plan is to use it for sewing and quilting in the future.
- High priced, very heavy-duty
- I generally try to purchase the best that I can afford, this ironing board qualifies. It is very heavy-duty in all regards. We used to have a cheapy model from the supermarket, what an upgrade. Our old one always left us wondering if it would tip with the iron on it. With the Rowenta there are no worries. One downside: the board is nowhere near light-weight; make sure you're able to lift the weight.
Update: After 2 weeks of use, the included cord started to short-circuit. I have a Rowenta Advancer iron, thankfully it was unharmed. The board is still great, but for the price, something better than a dollar store cord should be included.
- Overall, a fine product that is superior in construction and easier to use than typical lower cost ironing boards. Very steady in use. Plenty of height adjustment.
I find that the wand that holds the iron cord above the board is marginally useful.
The supplied electical outlet (merely an extension cord) is not of the three pronged plug type. It is also located beneath the board so that plugging and unplugging the iron is quite troublesome. I replaced the supplied cord by fitting a standard three-prong extension cord; this required bending the metal clips that retain the supplied cord.
These two dubious features hardly seem worth the 1/3 greater cost compared with the IB6200 model in the Rowenta line. The IB6300 does have a somewhat different leg design and the legs are chrome-plated instead of painted steel--helping to justify the higher price.
The iron rack requires fitting by bending a metal tab--a simple adjutment.
