- Tokyo Flash "Barcode SS" - Looking for an L.E.D. watch that is like no other? The L.E.D.s are bigger than the Pimp line of watches, making the colors really bright and super easy to see. Like the Pimp line of watches, this watch is equipped with a light up function that starts at 6 pm and goes on to 1 am every minute. The light up function is also activated when the time button is pressed during 1 am to 6 pm for 12 minutes after. The watch runs on 2 Lithium batteries that are easy to change. The strap is Solid Stainless that was custom designed just for the watch. Very well made and very solid. The watch measures 2.8 cm across by 5.7 cm long and 1.3 cm thick.

- This watch looks like it came off the set of Battlestar Galactica, where the robotic Cylons are referred to as toasters. As a twist, to non-fans, the watch looks like an actual toaster as well. If you are a Battlestar fan and like this sort of watch, this is a must get. I have blue LEDs, which look great.
The display can be set to do a little light dance once a minute or so. If you wear this watch at a public gathering, such as a museum exhibit, you might get some deeply suspicious looks, as if you are wearing a restraining device and have escaped.
I've had the watch for about a year, and even with doing the light show once a minute, the battery is still going strong. It is very well made. I must admit I don't wear it much. It just sits on the dresser, flashing its little LEDs.
If you want a different watch that also gets lots of compliments, consider this one: Yes K400.4
- As the owner of two Tokyoflash watches (Barcode SS and the Fusion)I have been deeply impressed by the quality. I have only recently purchased the Barcode, but it has lived up to my expectations. With both of these watches I am constantly barraged with the comment, "nice watch." In fact my wife has heard it so many times she is starting to get a little bit perturbed when people stop me to ask about them.
The design is very unique and the "watch face" completely covers the top part of my wrist which I think adds to this watch's mystique. Both the watch and band are solid and compliment the watch face design.
I went with the multicolored LED's which I think was a good choice, but there are other LED types out there to make the watch even more unique. The watch functions are good and it only takes a short time to adapt to the time/date display.
- This is by far the most stylish and elegant and easy to read of all the Tokyo Flash watches that I have seen and used (I personally own six of them - Barcode SS, Pinpin Aint Easy IP Black, Scope, Retrofit Gunmetal Black, Pimp Star Performer, Art 8 Elite in dark marble. I can't wait for the Barcode to be re-released in IP Black. Try one, you'll love it!
- I received this as a birthday gift from my boyfriend almost a year ago. It took some time to find a jeweler who could change the links to fit my small wrist. I've worn it everyday almost and it is heavy, but you get used to it. It took me about a week to be able to read the binary clock but again, you get used to it. It's a wonderful conversation piece and so far pretty durable. I see no reason in having something cool if you're not going to use it. This watch has been awesome. I don't recommend for kids but is awesome for adults. I'm going to buy more Tokyo Flash watches in the future and I've just bought one as a gift from my friends birthday!
- I got this watch about a month ago and i am gonna say that it is GREAT!!!
It is made of very good material, doesn't look cheap at all.
Reading the time is kinda tricky but you get used to it by the 3rd try, it is not rocket science, once u get a hold of it, you are set.
Keep in mind that this is one of those LOOK AT ME gadgets, if you are cool with that, this is your thing. I bought this for that sole purpose haha and because it looks pretty hot. It has been the center of conversations every night that i have used it, everyone is all 'omg what is that, omg so cool, oh wow where you get it' and i just love that hehe.
Anyway, i would highly HIGHLY recommend getting this, it is great for night outs, not so much for a daily wear.
- Had mine for more than a year - it's great.
- I bought mine over a year ago, in Tokyo (Amazon didn't have them then) and
it's still going strong on the original batteries. The manual claims they should
last 1 year, and it's been more like 18 months for me.
Figuring out how to read it is not difficult; I keep mine in 24-hour mode to make
it a bit more interesting. :) It's a good icebreaker but the flip side of that is
that it's a bit "attention-getting" which is either good or bad depending on the
situation (if you don't like that, turn it around).
The only thing I wish it had were the ability to change the "every minute flash"
from 6PM to 1 AM to "user defined time". C'est la vie. :) It's built like a
tank (and the slots are deep enough to easily protect the LEDs; this is a VERY
TOUGH watch, dispite being a very dressy watch as well. I suspect it could take
a hit anywhaer from a BB gun and show little to no damage.
Yes, it does have the "Cylon Style" - that's fine. I like Battlestar and it's
a nice little overtone.
Five stars for me. I only wear mine (multicolored) when I want to get a bit
of attention- but that's what it's designed for and thus it is a complete success.
- Great LED watch. Well made, sturdy, quality s.steel, nice bracelet. It takes a little getting used to telling time, but it is not complicated at all. It is big and a little heavy, but I like that in a watch. Check specifications as to size. Overall a cool watch. This is my second Tokyo Flash watch and it won't be the last one.
- This watch is so cool! We love it (my boyfriend and I). It's very sturdy and we were able to take links out to make it fit his small wrist. It took him about 2 minutes to learn how to read it - so don't worry. People are fascinated by it. Buy one while you still can!
- Tokyo Flash Barcode Watch
- I purchased this item due to its unique design in displaying the time and for this reason it is not the most practical of watches. I intend wearing this on evenings out and I think that the watch is ideal for this purpose and it seems to be a talking point.
After pressing the button to display the time the lights in the 4 columns radomnly flash for a few seconds before displaying the time. Once the time appears it is represented by a number of lights in each column (1st column each light is a value of 5 for the hour, 2nd column a value of 1 for the hour, 3rd column a value of 10 for the minutes and 4th column a value of 1 for the minutes) so you then have to manually calculate the time in your head. This is quite easy when you get used to the system but I wouldn't recommend having too many drinks if you need to catch a train home at a certain time. The watch will also display the date and then the day using the lights in a similar manner. Between the hours of 6pm and 1am the lights on the watch randomnly flash for a couple of seconds every minute which is fine if you do not mind attracting attention but could be annoying in a cinema or similar environment. The lights do not do this during the other hours of the day purely to save battery power.
The watch itself is very solid and looks to be of good quality and it will be interesting to see how long the batteries last in the watch. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase although the delivery was somewhat delayed due to the original dispatch being opened at UPS and the watch 'removed'. Altivo were very good in their correspondence and in putting this right and I believe that they are now using the US Postal Service to ship future orders as this was not the first occurence of the problem.
- tokyo flash multi color barcode display men's
description did not say the cercumference of the band and it is NOT adjustable. The discription says you can just press a button to see the time, However, after pushing the button you have to wait for all the lights to flash on and off 3 - 4 times then time is displayed for a very short time.
I returned this watch because band was too big and it took too long to display the time

- Impossible to set the correct time
- Although the watch is durable and quite unique in appearance, it is still sitting in the box - I live much of the time overseas and took the watch from the US without ever trying it out - big mistake - it is impossible to set the correct time - the directions are very clear but the watch simply does not respond - watchsmith in third world country of no help - had never seen a watch like this - no practical way of returning it to Amazon - wasted $100 - I have bought many items from Amazon and never had a problem - my stupidity for not trying the watch before putting it in the luggage - I am confident it could have been returned with no problem.
- I got the "Tokyo Flash - Twelve 5-9 L Version ( Silver + White LED )" watch and lost $120. Information on Amazon is missleading, the watch is not 30 Meters Water Resistant. The manufacturer's note on the waranty turns out to be "Showers should not be taken by this watch".
I communicated that back to Amazon, and received very disappointing responses! First bad experience with Amazon and worst of all.
Conclusion is NEVER BUY THIS WATCH, never get any of the Tokyo Flash Watches, and Think twice before you get a watch from Amazon!

- It is a well-built, cool-looking watch. However, before you buy it, make sure you look into the measurements of the watch first. It is heavy and huge! If you have big arms/wrists, then it would fit you just fine. Otherwise, you would look like a person with a home-confined cuff. It is a great watch, but not for everyone.
