- Well coming from someone who like to play single player RPG games such as Final Fantasy, Shadow Hearts, Jade Empire, Knight of the Old Republic, Xeno Gears, and a few others I never though I would like the whole MMORPG. That was until I tired out WOW.
I got the battle chest set back in may of this year. It took me a bit to get the feel of the game and how it plays. But now that I have I really enjoy it. The one thing I found out is that it's best to play different races and classes. It keeps the game from getting old. Even though this is the first online role playing game I have ever played I have been able to get into it. I like that well they have the PVP they also worked the PVE into it very well. I play on PVE and it makes it so I don't have to worry about any one attacking me when I'm on a quest.
I have found that there a some very nice people to. Sure there are some rude ones but from the amount of realms and the amount of people that play your going to run into some rude people. There is no way around that. But for the most part people are willing to help you Heck I have had people at very high levels give me a hand.
Really I just like the whole set up here the look of the game the way it plays the fact that it's not really super hard. And it's good for the amount of times I play it. If you can't play it as much as hardcore gamers then don't worry about it. WoW is made for ever one from the hardcore gamer to the gamer that can only play it maybe two days out of the week.
- Great game, horrible delivery
- The game, to me, lives up to its hype. I had the trial for 3 days before I decided to purchase the full game. I have absolutely no complaints about this game.
My complaint is directed toward the delivery service, DHL. I had paid for 2-day shipping, though I purchased it just before Labor Day, so I was prepared for it to be a day or two late. I purchased something else, from a different site, on the same day, and also paid for 2-day shipping. The product from the other site arrived the day after Labor Day. This didn't arrive until 4 days later. I checked the website several times to track the shipping. It had been noted that there were 3 delivery attempts. 2 our of those 3 I know were false, given the claimed delivery attempts; at those times there was at least 1 person besides myself in the house awake and alert, and no one heard any delivery attempt. Only the 3rd claimed attempt might have happened, but even that was questionable. Finally on the 4th day (3 days beyond the shipping I had paid for), I received my delivery. If you're given the choice, don't go with DHL.
- Tons of content, fun, plenty of nice people still around, good for any amount of play, runs well on many systems (mine is 5 years old), Blizzard is constantly re-balancing the game (good!) & fixing bugs (I've never seen any) & adding content (for free).
- Whether you are new to MMO games or an old pro, this game is for you. One major thing I like about this game over others I've played, is the ablity to play anytime. By that I mean you can play for fifteen minutes solo or for hours in a huge group and still have a great time. You should give it a try, heck its free for ten days. [...] Could 10 million people really be wrong?!
- Battle chest is a good deal for the two (DVD-ROM)discs considering otherwise, you would be stuck with the 4 separate discs! I barely opened the guides, only because I heard in regards to the expansion it wasn't quite up to date. Oh well. Still great, love it!!
- This is a great value for anyone interested in trying online gaming and and MMORPG. There are so many reviews and sites dedicated to WoW that this short amazon review really isn't the place to get into it, I rated this for price and value alone. If your interested in trying WoW you could always get a free 10 day pass at their site, but if you decide to go past that this is the best choice
- This is a good value and i truely enjoy the game. It is great fun and i really love it. The manuals are good for introduction into the game.
- Started playing passively at a friend's house. Wanted to play at home. Bought it (Battlechest is a smart buy), set up an account, and haven't looked back.
- The Game is Awesome. it's really cool. If you're on the border get it. Have a great day guys.
- If you're looking to play World of Warcraft, the Battlechest is really the only viable option. The Battlechest is the same price as only the expansion pack, and it also includes the original game, with a separate CD key that will be required if you ever want to make a second account or something.
Great buy, great game.
Just be careful of how much time you spend playing it!

- Friends don't let friends play World of Warcraft
- This game is really, really addictive. The sad thing is it's only moderatly fun because it get's very repetitive. You will find yourself wasting tons of time on this game, and when you're not playing and you're at school or work, you will be thinking about playing it as soon as you get home. Buyer beware this game is worse than nicotine and crack combined. . . friends don't let friends play WoW . . .
- Cookie cutter MMO. Stale & Boring
- If you're looking for a good single player game, or enjoy sitting aorund for hours talking to people you don't know on the internet, WoW might be right for you. Otherwise steer clear and save yourself a boatload of cash.
Leveling up to 70 can be fun, there is enough to do to avoid grinding at least with your first character. Once you're there though, the game screeches to a bloody halt.
PvP is lackluster, pointless, and wholly unenjoyable.
Raids are enjoyable if you like sitting around for hours.
Every character in late game is identical both in equipment and abilities for a given class.
Blizzard also decided to completely ruin Warcraft's back story too.
Play something else.
